Ecobee3 Wifi Thermostat With Remote Sensor By Ecobee

Bought 3 Ecobee3 Lite thermostat for the whole house to replace the dated builder-grade thermostats. Now I can control the whole house temperature on my iPhone. Easy setup and great Ecobee app. Hands-down Ecobee is the best.

I finally decided to enter the Alexa world. My air conditioner broke, so I had the guy install the Ecobee. Looks great on the wall. Life is so much easier. I installed a sensor on my balcony door so I'm no longer paying for my kids leaving the door open. I love the text when the door is open. I have a sensor in the family area, so the condo is consistently the same temperature. I don't fiddle with the thermostat due to the Ecobee features. Telling Alexa to change the "AC" is so simple when I actually need to change the thermostat.

I bought this Camera because I own the Ecobee IV Smart Thermostat With a smart room sensor and 8 individual room temp sensors and I am so impressed with the thermostat I purchased the camera to pair with it as soon as it came out! All of Ecobee’s products have the highest security rating per Consumer Reports so I don’t have to worry about a hacker hacking into my security system and breaking into my home taking my belongings!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using Ecobee thermostat for years (EMS Si WiFi generation) and the WiFi disconnects every so often so it was kind of an inconvenience. But now that I received the new and improved, I’m so happy with it, it’s looks so much prettier and I still get to use the app to control it!

I got the ecobee 3 lite and a two pack of remote sensors. The thermostat install was very straight forward and I liked the fact that the thermostat included a trim plate. While I did not have to use the power kit since I ran a new "C" wire, I also liked the fact that the included PEK had a magnet so it could be easily mounted to the air handler. The remote sensor was easy to pair with the thermostat and it was easy to add both to HomeKit on my iPhone. So far no issues or complaints.

My Five Favorite Features 1.The ecobee comes with a remote temperature and occupancy sensor. My ecobee reads the temperature in the living room where I sit and ignores the temperature in the hall where the thermostat is. 2. The design of the ecobee touch screen is elegant. A dark rounded square screen displays the room temperature in large numbers along with the time of day, outdoor temperature, and a weather icon. When you walk up to the ecobee it comes alive and displays a slide for the setpoint and icons for quick Home/Away, detailed weather, voice control, and menus. 3. My six networked ecobees can be monitored and adjusted from an app or a web portal. 4. Ecobee lets you display helpful graphs of, for example, room temperature over time along with setpoint, outdoor temperature, and an indication of when the thermostat was calling for heat. See pictures at the end of this post. 5. Voice control is more useful than expected. I don’t have to be in a room to change the temperature. I just say “Hey Google, warm up the Master Bedroom” from anywhere. One complaint is that the slide for the setpoint never seems to wind up where I’m aiming.

I really like the Ecobee3 thermostat. I bought one for my home and another for our Fire Station. Very easy to use and program.
