Edifier Speakers Universal Remote

I had been unhappy with my old system for a while and found this option at B & H. For the price I'm happy with it. I like that the rear surround speakers are wired directly to the subwoofer. Other more expensive brands had wireless rear speakers but that would mean batteries or recharging, not a good option in my opinion. I put the subwoofer behind the couch, mounted the speakers on the wall, and all the wires are well hidden. As for the remote, it works well enough, but it's tough to get a universal remote to control it because the remote requires several clicks for some functions. First you have to click to get to the setting you want and then activate it, so even a remote that can perform macros can be tricky to set up. It's not really a problem for me though as I don't change settings much, and I only need access to the power, volume and mute controls, which can easily be controlled with my TV remote or my universal remote because I connected the Vizio to an HDMI input. I tried connecting an Alexa to it, both with bluetooth and directly, but no matter how I set it up, the volume was too low, even with the Alexa set to maximum volume. But all in all this unit works well, and I would recommend it if you're looking for something that's not too expensive and is easy to set up.

Bought these Edifier R1280DB's for my daughter's new computer system. I have to say that these are excellent speakers for the price. The sound quality is so much better than standard computer speakers. Bluetooth connection works very well also. The wood grain and gray covers are aesthetically pleasing. I highly recommend these.

This is the second pair of Edifier bookshelf speakers. I loved the first pair I bought for my living room so much I bought the second one for my bedroom. Enjoying my music more than ever!

The more expensive studio monitors I originally wanted we’re not available so I ordered this smaller Edifier Multimedia set To use With my new M-Audio keyboard And computer until the other brand became available. But, after I installed the Edifier powered speakers and connected the system to Bluetooth, I was So absolutely astonished at the Superb sound quality— richness, fullness, intensity, and presence— that I decided I didn’t need anything better! I have since wired it to a Behringer audio interface and it performs just as Well as with Bluetooth. My studio is only twelve feet square and Is well insulated to prevent Sound reflections. Here’s a tip: the speakers are modestly directional so you should locate them deliberately around your workspace to experience the best sound quality. Finally, the speakers are high quality with very satisfying fit and finish. I’m really pleased I selected them.

I paired these Edifier R1280DBs powered speakers with a Wiim Pro Plus streaming device to serve as a tabletop/chairside radio. This replaced an old Logitech Squeezebox boom. The cabinets are solid and attractive. The knobs for bass, treble and volume are smooth and solid, too. Every possible connection type is provided. Sound quality is of course, subjective. Using the smiley face classical EQ setting on the WIIM, and the bass /treble on the Edifiers set to 12 o'clock, the sound is clear, crisp and warm. New speakers, digital preamps and class D power amps can sound cold, brittle & shrill. Not the case with the Edifiers. Especially impressive at low volumes. Even turned down, the bass has punch, the vocals presence, and percussion clean & crisp. I can listen for hours with no ear fatigue.

Excellent stands i have Edifier s2000 pro bookshelf speakers on them perfect height for my tv placement.Good looking strong easy to assemble.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Music, and the edifier speakers are great 5000 channels of music great for the alone nights thinking of how it wouldn't be the same I appreciate Samsung's tv channels cheap when your on a budget but want the best quality, the remote is great when you have it facing the wrong way it tells you good feature back lit is cool also thankfully Noah Korosec

Its great for the speakers we have and sounds great through them only thing I wish it had was a remote!
