Electric Door Strike Surge Protectors

Needed a power source for a an electric door strike. Works as it should, no noise, best price I found

The surge protector stopped a surge from a lighting strike from damaging my dehumidifier in the basement. I am pleased with it.

We had a lightning strike at our office and the surge travelled through the internet lines (ethernet in our office) which fried our old Dream Machine. This purchase was a replacement as I could not go any other direction. This Dream Machine provides firewall protection and ease of access from multi-office servers. Our neighbor’s home suffered two massive lightening strikes three years apart. The first strike did $6000 worth of damage to his new SUV. The second strike totaled his brand new Cadillac as well as partially damaging our vehicle and knocking out our garage door opener and a number of low voltage items in our home. The culprit: his permanently mounted basketball pole and backboard which he refused to have removed. Since that second strike all sensitive electronics in my home are connected to an appropriate surge protector. I purchased this surge protector as a second back up unit for a rack of recording components in my home studio. It’s not worth the risk to leave your gear unprotected. Cheap insurance!

I have done my homework on this and offers good protection. It has under and overvoltage protection. So anything over and under a certain voltage it cuts the power to protect equipment. It absorbs spikes. It can turn a spike of 5000v in to just letting through 40v. None of the mov surge protectors can do that or even come close. After my last surge protector from another popular brand did nothing to prevent a desktop and modem to get fried I went to this. Very nice built quality and a great price at that. I am much more at ease with this knowing it should protect my equipment from everything other than a very near or direct lighting strike. No consumer grade stuff will protect you from a strike like that.

Very happy with purchase. Had electrical lighting strike that destroyed my tripplite ups/surge. Really did something to my computer and ethernet communication to my gallil. So this time I got a better one and it's perfect
