Electronic Theater Controls

This is a very low price for the size of this electronic slider. This is my first electronic slider, yet I found the controls extremely intuitive to use. The footage is very smooth, no random jerks despite the powerful motors. One thing I didn't expect was how loud it is at higher speeds, but that doesn't impact my footage which is never audio-dependent. Battery life is good. The case holds everything firmly in place so nothing is shaking around. Also there is a top pad in the case so the components are protected on every side during transport. Overall I'm extremely happy with the product.

I used the power source to power my electronic target controls systems along with a set of lights and it performed like a champ. The unit weight was a bit on the heavy side, but it did it's job. The plugs were alittle close together as one of my plugs had a transformer which took my space then a regular plug. Next time I will have to use a power strip, which will solve that problem. The unit has plenty power for my use and I will be expanding it use in the very near future. B&H sold it at a good price and so I grabbed it.

The screen of my new home theater lowers down and covers the face of my components, making remote controls inoperable. The C2G Infrared Remote Control Repeater Kit installed in a couple of minutes and solved this problem. Now the remote controls, including my Logitech Harmony One, work like a charm, with no noticeable delay. I highly recommend this repeater kit.

I am updating this review, having read reviews from others. This lens does have very noticeable pincushion distortion at mid and long focal lengths. However, this is instantly and fully corrected in Lightroom 5 by scrolling (in Develop mode) to Lens Corrections and clicking on Enable Profile Corrections. Impressive that immediately with December 15, 2013 release of this new lens, Lr5 recognized it and had software for corrections. That's why Lr has this feature. So BEWARE and use your SOFTWARE.Electronic corrections have provided lens designers more freedom with zoom lenses.Zoom lenses are prone to distortion. New wonder compact zoom lens designs are meant to be used with electronic corrections. This lens has internal zooming to keep length and balance point close to camera (important on the slim Nex, and internal zooming should keep dust from getting pumped into lens). Those who shoot jpg get in-camera corrections. We who shoot RAW must apply corrections in our computers. Results are excellent. The beauty of this lens is it's slick function in the field. Remember the Hubble telescope? Shortly after placement in orbit, crippling distortion from faulty assembly was apparent. Electronic corrections even solved that. There is nothing wrong with using electronic corrections. Everything we do in Lr or similar programs is electronic correction.
