I use one on my 14-24 to protect the bulbous lens element.  And this one provides the same protection on my 600mm!

I use the Nikon 14-24 and can't put a filter on it - I worried about damage to the front element. I bought the Hoodie and loved it from the beginning. I think every lens should have one - they go on quick & easy and protect my lens from dust, bumps and abrasion. I plan to order one for each lens in my kit. Well made, works well and protects my investment - great item. Much easier to use than lens wraps.

I use it with my 24-70 F2.8 as a front element protection and the filter works great. I do not have any issues (as somebody stated here) with my lens cap.

As always, B&W filters provide unsurpassed protection. This one is huge and a little pricey but I think of it as just another well coated element for the 24-70mm 2.8 it is charged with defending. The Nano coating on this makes it easier to clean. I'm sure a couple of the other brands are as good but I have B&W filters over the front element of each of my lenses. I'd buy it again.

I use this filter on my 24-70 f/2.8 to protect the front element. The filter fits great, although it does introduce a bit of flare when shooting into the sun.

I upgraded my Apogee Element 24 to this new Symphony Desktop interface. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the headphone preamp.  I don't have a well treated room in my apartment. So mixing with headphone(Sennheiser HD650 is my main workhorse) is my usual practice. Element 24 has a solid HP. But the HP on Symphony Desktop gives me even better details and clearer bottom end on frequency spectrum. Compared to Symphony Desktop, the HP on Element was a bit muddy at the bottom end. The sound stage is also noticeably wider with symphony desktop. For mic preamp, I haven't done any comparison yet. I'll update this post when I have time to do it.

Bought this for my tamron 10-24 to protest the front element from scratches, dust, ext. Screwed on easily and is small enough so the edges of the filter do not show in the frame, even wide open.

I just needed something to protect the frontal element of my 24-105L and this does the job fine! It's just basic glass for protection, plain and simple so there's nothing to it!

I recently bought this lens for use with my Leica SL2-S. I already own the Leica 24-70 zoom and thought this would be a good choice for an even wider angle perspective. This Sigma seems very well constructed, with a smooth zoom mechanism and positive attachment to the camera. It comes with a really nice carrying case and form-fitted lens hood. Due to the large (and very curved) front element, filters cannot be used over the front lens element but must be attached behind the rear element. Super wide angle shots are superb -- the perspective at 14mm is definitively different, and 24mm is also terrific. I compared this lens at 24mm with my Leica 24-70 also set at 24mm, by shooting identical frames using the self-timer with the camera mounted on a sturdy tripod. Comparing the two RAW images side-by-side in Lightroom, with no adjustments or presets of any kind, the color rendition on the two lenses seems almost identical, which makes sense since both are apparently made by Sigma. What surprised me, though, was that the Sigma images appear a bit sharper in the corners and at the edge of the frame than the Leica. I'm very pleased with this lens and can highly recommend it!
