I use UV filters on my more expensive lenses as protetion for the front element, nothing more. I saw several negative reviews online complaining that these filters do not provide any benefit in haze. That is correct! They may be poorly named, being basically just clear glass. If you want added protection for an expensive lens, put a good quality UV filter (multicoated with high light transmission) on the front and leave it there, but do not expect any color correction. 5 |
