Elitedesk 800 G1 Desktop

I use an HP Elitedesk Mini 800 G9 as a virtualization server (Proxmox) to host my websites. This NIC installed easily and works great. No BIOS configuration was required. Runs in Proxmox (which is really Debian Linux) without any effort. No drivers to load, the kernel supported it right out of the box. Shopping at B&H was quick and easy, and their pricing was the one of the lowest prices I could find. Couple that with excellent delivery and I am very happy.

Used to get about 40mbps with my old desktop and usb 3 now I'm getting a nice 800-1000 when transferring from my SD AND CF EXPRESS cards or using an NVME portable chassis.

Use it for a lavalier mic + antennas for Sennheiser G1 wirless system.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The G3 represents a big leap in progress from my G1 in terms of picture quality, brightness and upscaling. I had a G1 and replaced it with the Nikon 200-500. That was recently stolen and I decided to try a G2 because it's a little lighter. Very happy with this G2. I can tell it's lighter, the focus feels just as fast as the Nikon and it has more reach at both ends. Best of all is that the VR seems to be noticeably improved over the Nikon! I didn't expect that, but at my age I really appreciate it.

I use this for close-up photos where other flashes blow-out the photo. I have the new Canon G1 X and have not been able to get the adapter yet so I have used this off camera and achieved nice shadow results of shells and rock collections from travels. Plan to use with other small items and flowers come spring, and perhaps portraits. While results have been good, it is a huge & flash and cumbersome for my purposes and on my smallish camera. It will help some when the adapter arrives so I can actually mount it to the camera lens area.
