Elp Mini Ip Camera With Microphone

Does what I needed powering an IP camera.

It is a fun look, like a mini camera. The gooseneck mounting system works very well with a desktop computer, as you are looking directly into the camera instead of the camera looking down or up on you. The microphone picks up well. It automatically installed on the Mac computer.

I take a lot of video of high school marching bands with my Canon HF20 HD video camera and from the stands the sound usually has a lot of fan noise especially when I use a wide angle lens to get more of the field in view. This microphone picked up all of the sounds of the band from well over 100 feet away and reduced unwanted sounds to a pretty acceptable level. I do this for fun and to build video shows for the kids to see. The combination of great sound with HD quality video makes for a great show. yep, a bit pricy but if better audio (on a Canon video camera with the mini advanced accessory shoe) is what you're looking for it's a great product and very easy to use. The only knock is that from what I can see you can only use the microphone with a mini advanced accessory shoe kind of limiting future uses - if I had any...

We use this microphone attached to a mac mini and high definition Samsung TV with a logitech camera. It works really well. Very easy to setup and has crisp audio.

I bought this lense as my third for my M4/3 ELP-1. Excellent on photowalks to break up the look of a collection with some cool wide angle shots. Used it too much at first but have now worked out that it is best with large foreground subjects. I also use it on a monopod held over subjects for a different angle or a really interesting group shot. Pretty rugged as I dropped it on concrete from about two feet and no issues. Pricey but unique. No regrets.

This is a great microphone. It does not require an audio interface. Simply plug it to your computer through USB and there you go! It also has an option for monitoring with zero latency. The default microphone sound level is too quite for my listeners. So, I use peace + equalizer combo software to adjust its dB output level (+18dB). I compared to my Rode Mini USB condenser microphone. Q2U had a more natural sounding and rich audio. Rode mini USB sounded little dull (or muffled). However, Q2U has much more ambient noise which requires more editing time at post production. As a teacher, I do not have extra time for that. So, I prefer Rode mini USB for my lecture recordings and I may use Q2U for broadcasting where recording is not a priority. Finally, this info can be useful to some: Q2U doesn't work with Notability on iPad Pro (3rd Gen), Rode Mini USB does.

This was easy to use and connect to a IP camera set up. Receives sound good.
