Email Reader For Windows

The DVD reader/writer works very well. And it is fast. As someone I believe mentioned in a review, there is an issue the first time the device is connected, not recognized by Windows. All that needs to be done is to disconnect it from the computer, wait a few seconds and them reconnect. Windows then finds it. After that first time this is not an issue. I definitely recommend this unit without reservation..

I recently upgraded the OS on an old Windows laptop from Win 7 to Win 8.1.  After the update, I found that the SD card reader in the laptop no longer worked.  A BIOS and/or driver update was needed, which the manufacturer no longer supported. This SD to USB reader came to the rescue!   Transfer speed is excellent.  It is also fully compatible with my UHS-I SD cards and USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports. Highly recommended and five stars!

I bought this to replace my older Sony card reader which wasn't compatible with windows 10, the Lexar reader is perfect. It is fast, sturdy and it does the job well. I highly recommend it.

This reader works with Windows 10, Mac OS Catalina and Big Sur. Installation was easy and I recommend this CAC reader.

The supplied cable is compatible with my Windows PC. Importing photos to Lightroom works flawlessly. The CFexpress Type B card inserts into the reader with a reassuring click and ejects with a simple press to release from the reader. The transfer runs cool to the touch.

I bought this on the recommendation of Thom Hogan's public wish list on B&H in which he suggests the Sony G series XQD cards for use with the Nikon D500. It works well with that camera and has been 100% reliable. I have not experienced any issues of the kind reported with other brands/types of XQD cards. I like the fact that the card came with an XQD card reader, -so you know that you have a reader that works with this type of card. The reader is USB 3.0 and comes in the form of a wide dongle that can plug directly into your computer's or laptop's USB port. But it also comes with a 1 foot USB 3.0 extension cord that you can use between the reader and your computer, which is a nice touch. The reader comes with a snap-on plastic cover for its USB connector. The only complaint I have about the reader is that it doesn't have an activity LED, but this is not a big deal. The inclusion of a card reader also saved me some money as otherwise I would have had to buy one separately. A note on the kinds of transfer speeds you may get between the reader and your computer over USB 3.0: The read speeds appear to be OS dependent. I can boot Windows 7 SP1, 8.1, and 10 on the same computer. Under Win 7 I only get read speeds of around 140 to 150 MB/second. Not sluggish, but not particularly fast either. Windows 8.1 is the speed champion at around 230 - 235 MB/second. Win 10 is a little slower at around 220 MB/sec. I've confirmed the Windows 8.1 read speed on my laptop, which only has 8.1 installed. My theory is that the USB storage driver for Windows 7 is not optimized for this kind of reader and media, while the driver for the later versions of Windows is. As always, your mileage may vary....

I have this little multi card reader plugged in to my computer USB C port on my computer and I can pretty much download my full resolution, raw and JPEG files from my canon 5D Mark four with no problem at all. It is super fast like rocket fast. This unit is pretty much plug and play really didn't have to do too much windows 11 and windows 10 based machines were able to recognize it right away and function normally

After purchasing the Canon R5 body I needed a new card reader for the CFexpress card. The card does get warm and I try not to leave the cards in the reader any longer that needed. The only problem I had was when I had a Lexar SD/ Compact Flash card reader also plugged into the Windows 10 computer. I ended up having to unplug the Lexar card reader and reboot the computer. I do not know if that is a card reader issue or just a computer issue. The reader unloads the card very fast. The other item I saw on another review of card readers is I can't eject the card from Windows 10. I have to pull the card out. Not sure if that will damage the card in the long run but I have been doing that for years on my Compact Flash cards with no issues.
