The Mic is not the best out of the box. You must plug it into your computer, download Rode Central, and edit the settings. After that it is perfect.

Both work well, but I had to remove so as to send the computer to Acer for repair of the touchpad.

The camcorder is used primarily to create family videos, particularly of our two young children, and our travels. The video quality is amazing. I like the memory card storage on this particular camera, as you can just remove the card and insert it into a card port on the computer. I would suggest at least 16 gig cards if you choose this camcorder to get good recording length. The primary concern I have with this (and many other HD camcorders) is managing and editing the recorded file. First, the software is not great, and actually had some problems with it to start (remove any codec packages from your computer before using). The included software is the only software I have found to edit the .mts files as recorded (not great editing software). Most other editing software packages convert .mts to .mpg for editing which I think (not sure yet) loses quality. Otherwise, a wonderful camcorder ...

Ordered on-line and received in almost record time. I only have one complaint: The one received was for a windows computer. Had to remove everything on it, reformat it for MacOS before I could use it. I use to work as a SW Configuration Manager - wonder what a non-computer trained individual would have done.

Works great. The one thing is the plug in module for the computer is located in the battery compartment which you have to remove to set up the mouse. This is not indicated anywhere in the packaging. I discovered this on a whim.

I neglected to back up my hard drive and then my computer died. Did some searching on how to remove the hard drive and how to access the hard drive. Docking Station worked great, and it's fast. Got free shipping, and the price was better than Amazon. Very happy to fix my stupidity.

I bought this to help remove a buzz in the recordings of our Sunday morning services. It runs between the soundboard and the computer for recording. I plugged it it and our buzz is gone.

I use this to clean off the exterior of most of my camera equipment. I also use this duster to clean off my computer equipment, especially my keyboard, which is always combursome to remove bits and pieces of stuff it gathers over time.

I got this because I got tired of having to remove USB devices from my computer that has limited USB ports, so that I could plug in another device. I've only had this device for a few days. So far it is doing its job.
