Energize Mechanical Pencils Silver Barrel

Lens barrel needs to be at least 2 1/2 in diameter(Lenses smaller than this probably will not have lens creep). Nearly invisible on silver colored Zuiko lenses.

I've been using the XS-Pro for many years now and recently got a lens with a silver barrel and wanted to see how this would work. The ring is kind of titanium colored. It's not really silver and not really black, but it does harmonize well with my lens. Unlike the XS-Pro, the glass is solely mounted in the ring with a technical adhesive much like the windshield of a car. On the XS-Pro, the glass is held in mechanically. I'm still not sure if it's worth the extra and will continue buying the XS-Pro instead. The filter rings of the XS-Pro and T-Pro appear to be the same thickness, so there is no real benefit in that area.

Is very smooth and the pencils glides very quickly.

Very simple to sync. Just as good as other top rated pencils.

Way overpriced - they have you over a barrel . . .

The three-barrel case is very tight.

Weighted - solid - easy to find in our drawer of crayons, markers, pens, pencils, etc.!

I purchased both the 10mm and 11mm Artisans and found the 11mm definitely sharper when comparing lettering at 400% on a calendar in a room shot, however at 4 inches the 10mm was amazing. Purely by accident while shooting tests with the 10mm with the Lumix S1r I focused the camera on a pad of paper I had written notes on in pencil. Along side of the pad were 8 or so new Dixon pencils with gold stamped lettering all sitting on a dining room table cluttered with computers etc. At f8 with the lens so close the background dropped beautifully, but what astounded me was the detail of the lead pencil writing on the paper the the gold leaf stamping on the pencils. Photo had Color, contrast and even a bit of micro detail in the paper texture and writing. Based on this and other tests, this is a great lens for very closeup experimental work. Colors are accurate and vibrant. Lens is seemingly well corrected for this type of work with Capture one correcting purple fringes. For room shots and sharpness stick with 11mm unless you need the extra angle.

I love this headphone stand. Plenty of room atop the stand for my cup of pens and pencils, while still holding the headphones. Great solution for a cramped desktop. Solid. Recommended.
