If you use rechargeable AA's or AAA's, you should have a decent charger. Most chargers charge in banks of 2 or 4. That means that the battery will be treated the same as its neighbor. Better chargers charge each battery independently of the others. This way, the batteries get what they need. The best chargers give you metering on each battery. I've always had good luck with Watson products. This charger keeps the streak going.

This is more than just a charger for your AA/AAA NiMH batteries. The condition feature lets you monitor the health of each battery while keeping them in tip top shape. The only downside I've found is that it may not work with some non-Powerex batteries, -you may get a battery fault indication when you put them in the charger even though those batteries will work just fine in a conventional charger. This may be caused by batteries that have an internal impedance/resistance that's different from that of Powerex batteries.

These are the best rechargeable AA batteries I have found. The AAA are the best also. They take a bit longer to charge but hold a charge better than any other I have found. Try them!

Charges AA and AAA. Takes about nine hours to get a full charge so if time is an issue, try a faster charger. This charger with Enloop Pro AA's and AAA's are working well for our needs. We use them for game cams in cold weather. So far, the charger and batteries are brand new. Fully charged batteries are lasting about a week outdoors in below freezing temps before they need another charge. We're quite happy with them. Using these batteries in warmer temperatures will give longer battery life before they need to be charged again. So far so good. Money well spent if you need this sort of thing.
