I USE THIS IN MY DESKTOP & LAPTOP AND LOVE THE FACT THAT IT IS 256GB VS MANY OTHER BRANDS THAT ARE 250GB & 240GB!

I have a tower Mac Pro with two 30 cinema displays. The tower energy load is 240W and the displays are about 135W each. I have two APC Pro 700 side-by-side on the tower, one is for the Mac Pro and one for the two displays. They work well, very quite, fast response and they both fit on top my tower.

This unit is great for a small business who needs surge protection for tower style computers if they don't have a rack or there isn't space in the rack. It allows several devices to be connected. It's very reliable.

I have used several types of laptop computers, but Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is more than I expected :)

Switched from a laptop to a tower computer recently and love everything about my new computer, including its superspeed 3.0 Type C USB ports. The ports, though, are farther away and so much more inaccessible than on the laptop. This 6ft 4-port SS 3.0 USB hub solves that problem in a big way.

It's a great laptop to replace your tower! I picked this up because I wanted something specifically for my house that was movable from room to room. Would also recommend for long term hotel stays for work. Not a travel PC - find something lighter for that.

Works great on my home Tower computer. Can't use them on my work laptop because my employer hasn't approved them yet. Should be soon.

I have been wanting to get rid of my tower for ages. The one thing keeping me from being able to do so was the occasional need to use an external LTO-5 tape drive which has a SAS interface. Now that my latest laptop has a Thunderbolt 3 port, I rolled the dice and gave this expansion system a try. Amazingly it worked first try, no fighting with drivers, no issues at all. It took under 5 minutes to open the chassis, move the card from my tower to this unit, and then fire it up for a test drive. Windows 10 immediately recognized both the PCI SAS card and the attached LTO-5 Tape Drive. I ran the tape drive diagnostic program to make sure the interface could keep up with the speed requirements and all tests passed. One caution: I was using the piggy-backed USB-C port on the back of this expansion unit to drive a 4K DisplayPort adapter. While the tape drive was reading or writing I had some display flashing. I assume this is because of the bandwidth needed to run both 4K-60FPS plus the demand from the tape drive. The solution was as simple as removing the 4K monitor cable from this device. I don't have any problem running the laptop without the desktop monitor for the occasions when i need to operate the tape drive.
