I needed something to record band rehearsals and gigs. I wind up sticking it on a mic stand using the adapter from the accessory kit and putting it in the middle of the playing area. The H2N does a remarkably good job and is quite easy to use. I can easily share Mp3s with other band members or friends to discuss issues and, etc. So this has been a very useful tool.

This microphone is amazing and was a huge upgrade from what I had. I am using it to record our high school marching band and the recordings are so accurate and detailed, it’s near perfect. I record on top of press boxes in the open air most of the time where I have to deal with wind and, with the wind muff, it does a great job even without turning on the wind reduction. If there was one thing I wish it did better, it would be in the reproduction of the lower frequencies but that’s getting really picky. I am using this microphone on the Sony ZV-E10.

Bought the Rode VideoMic Pro shotgun to record our child's band performances, which includes outdoor performances - very few of which have been in calm weather. I find this wind cover does a great job of diminishing wind noise when recording in breezy conditions. Made for this microphone, it fits quite snugly and seems to be sonically transparent.

The SM57 is an instrumental mic but it still works great as an interview mic as well for videos.

I have extremely sensitive skin and camera straps make me miserable, so I went looking for one that might help. The Rose Baroque 1.5 strap was better than perfect. Being slim in width, it fit my next perfectly, and the underside is padded and luxuriously soft. It's also well made and will last a long time. Another plus: It matches my camera bag color exactly! I have been surprised at how many female photographers notice the strap and want to try it on. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

I use these in an ORTF stereo setup to record a baroque orchestra and chorus. Medium sized church. Apogee Element interface with Logic Pro. These are extremely quiet. Very natural sounding microphones. No muss, no fuss. You can do worse. You can't do much better. No matter how much money you spend.
