I never track vocals, bass or acoustic guitar without the TLA100. It's amazingly easy to use, and sounds excellent!

Ive been used to record guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, vocals in my studio and the sound its always great, warm and fat in all situations. I really like to have a Tube Preamp with EQ and Compressor, I can setup the whole tone using this avalon.

These mics did not astound me. They did not turn my $250 Epiphone acoustic into a $2500 Gibson J45. I did not sound like Frank Sinatra. They did not improve my gas mileage. BUT; they sounded awesome. These are not the Ferrari or Mercedes of the mic world; these are WORKHORSES. They sound rich, thick, syrupy and smooth while sounding clear and articulate. They ROCK on guitar cabs and sound fantastic in blumlein for singer/songwriter in-the-room sound. If you want a $4000 mic that gets used once in a while, this ain't it. If you want a great value on a pair of mics that you'll use on every single session, these babies are it!

I bought this on amazon for my Mac computer running El Capitan. It worked flawlessly. Much better than expected. NOTE: If you already have an older bluetooth adapter inside your Mac, be sure to disconnect it so macOS only sees the StarTech adapter and it will work like a charm.

I use it for my Mac. I had to work at it to get FileVault to work with it on El Capitan - you need to reformat (no problem) and then partition, for which you need to go to the command line Disk Utility now. Not hard, just that Apple seems to want to dumb down the graphical Disk Utility. If you don't care about that, it works straight out of the box.

Contrary to other posted comments, this device does work with El Capitan. I have two that are on two different computers (an iMac and a MacBook Pro) that receive daily use. About to purchase a third for a relative to use on a Mac Mini. I've deployed these on several Windows systems too. Absolutely 100% reliable and works without a hitch on both Mac OS X and Windows.

With the update of El Capitan on my 2012 Mac Pro, I discovered that my AJA Kona hardware would not work any more. And it had been dragging for quite some time with Premiere CC so it was time to upgrade. I read the reviews on this BM card and was concerned that it might not work correctly. I installed the card and software. I did notice the fan noise on the card on the first reboot until the machine prompted me to update the firmware. That update ran and the car operates silently now. I have the HDMI attached to my Panasonic LH2170P monitor, the S/DPIF audio connected to my Flying Cow converter and I am noticing no lag with Premiere Pro. Amazing inexpensive upgrade - wish I had done it sooner!
