Epson 4000 4K Projector Review
Bhive | 2024-04-06 05:33:35 |
“This is a review for the Epson EpiqVision® Flex CO-FH02 Full HD 1080p Smart Portable Projector projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.” I really like this projector alot!..... I have several Epson products and this is a winner! The set up was so easy and fast.... I am very impressed with how bright the projection is even in full daylight in my studio! Also, the Auto Keystone Correction was great!....Thats a huge plus for me. When I tilt the Projector up, it adjusts the image for the angle....Love that! Another HUGE bonus is the speaker!.....I was shocked at how good it sounds on its own... and that is VERY rare for a small projector. Impressive! The resolution on this projector is quite amazing!.... I projected an image equivalent to about 90 inches wide and it was super clear, and very sharp! I do wish that it had a zoom feature, but thats not a deal breaker at all. The fact that this powerful projector easily fits into a backpack or small luggage is fantastic! I travel alot and will take it on many trips. I do wish that it had more HDMI Ports.... but I can use an external hub. Big plus that I love is the Android feature! I use Android Phones and this will come in handy in so many ways! Overall, this Epson is a WINNER to me....its light weight, sharp, great design and very affordable!... 5 |

This was a move up from an Epson 5030ub, so bulb based 1080p to native 4K laser is quite the jump. I’m projecting on a 135” budget 1.0 gain grey screen and the colors, contrast and brightness are spectacular. I sit about 14’ away and the detail and sharpness of the image is so much better than what I was used to. I love that Epson for what it is but this is in a different league. Having only had the projector for a couple of weeks, I’m still playing with different settings and testing various 4K media with my Oppo so still have to spend more time with this to really get to know it. The only con I’ve noticed so far is it can crush some black detail in difficult scenes but I may be able to tease out some image with some adjustment tweaks, not a deal breaker for me but worth mentioning. Also, my old projector was supposed to have a similar lumen rating and had about 900hr on the bulb but this is significantly brighter. Haven’t put the laser past 60 (50 is default) and won’t need to unless I am keeping some lights on in the room. Last thing is it is much quieter than the old Epson and is mounted right above my head so that is also a big plus, hope it stays this quiet. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this projector to replace an excellent Epson HD LCD projector. I was attracted to the laser light source and liked that this LG model had two separate colors which I thought would reduce the likelihood of rainbow patterns and indeed I haven't noticed these at all so far. The 4K is crisp and the picture is bright. HDR mode is very noticeable and I like the range of picture options. I use an Apple 4K TV and Xbox Series X so wasn't too interested in the onboard WebOS but its generally pretty responsive and intuitive so probably useful to have. The projected image does have a small thin light border and in super-widescreen 2.35:1 mode there are of course lighter bars at top and bottom; I'm not sure why with all the adaptive dimming technology they couldn't make it go really dark in those areas too, but projecting onto a wall with custom sprayed paint using MissisipiMan's formula in the AVSforum works really well with this projector and still looks better than the movie theater and is a big improvement over the Epson because of the 4K and laser technology, and is now useable in a brighter room. My advice is save your money on the expensive screen and splurge on this projector if you are thinking about it. I do think this technology is a generation ahead of the last and what's nice is it's also LG quality (I knew they made the best LCD IPS panels for computer displays as we have 6 of them, but now find they make really good projectors too) and really nice design and aesthetics. Switching on and off is fast and reliable and ambient noise seems quieter than anything else we have in the media room. We run a 30ft HDMI cable originally intended for 18Gbps through the ceiling and I was glad it didn't have to be replaced and meets all the XBox and Apple diagnostic tests at 4K/60Hz and 1080p/120Hz and works well with ARC sound too, even with a 3 year old receiver. 5 |

I bought this about 6 months back and have been using it since then in my Home theater. This is great for ceiling mounting. This replaced my previous Epson 8350. The picture is bright even in the basic cinema mode when there is some outside light coming in. The projector is recognized as native 4K by Roku and any other components connected. First, I tried an Epson 4k model. It had brighter whites, but was not recognized as native 4K, and was huge in size. This projector is just half the size and weight, and has many convenient features and ports. The change from Epson 8350 was seamless, though the mounting hole positions are a bit weird. Overall, a great purchase for the price. 5 |

I just purchased a new 4K Epson projector for my home and as I have done for my previous home projectors, I always buy a spare bulb right away. I probably won't need if for at least three years, but just in case, I'll have it hand if it goes early. The price from B&H was the best out there and it clearly was an original Epson product. Here's hoping that I DON'T need it from some time to come. 5 |

My previous Epson projector died after about 10 years. It was a 1K (HD) model but still a very good unit. This new projector is so strong with the contrast and the robustness of all the colors and being able to do it even brighter (non cinema mode). 4K is fantastic as it brings so much detail to the entire scene. Testing with Top Gun Maverick revealed a new level of detail in the scenes where you can resolve the small items on shelves in the background of a sceene. I am very happy and look forward to a new decade with this projector. P.S. This projector serves as our daily use video for TV and movies and its primary sources are Apple TV (4K), and HD Cable box (1080i/720p). 5 |

This is a review for the Epson Powerlite 1781W Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This is my first projector and I cannot be more impressed. The size is perfect to for taking from place to place (just a little thicker than your average laptop). The projector was easy to setup and I was up and running in minutes. Image quality is superb and the wireless function is one of the best features if this projector, sharing my phone/tablet screen was simple and there was almost no delay between my tablet and what was being displayed. An external speaker is a good idea but not necessary. I will definitely recommend this projector to my colleagues for anyone looking for new or an upgraded experience. 5 |

This is a review for the Epson Powerlite 1781W Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Unboxing of the projector provided many useful items I did not expect. It came with multiple cord configurations perfect for traveling on the go. It came with a portable carrying case which was very padded and provides superior protection. The remote itself is good size and has lot of useful functions. Once the projector was unboxed and setup it did have a bit of a challenge installing all the software. You need 2 programs or sets of install to have this function for my use. If you only install the wireless one your computer can not connect to the internet. It did take me some time to troubleshoot and fix this. The quick setup instructions should have been a bit clearer on this. Overall the design and button layout of the projector was great. The size and compactness of the projector is amazing. One of the things I did notice once the projector was turned off is that it almost immediately cooled down, so I didn’t really have to wait to put it away. All in all, I would say this is an outstanding product that I would recommend. A+++ 5 |

“This is a review for the Epson Powerlite 1781W Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review." The Epson 1781W is a well rounded, thin-and-light projector, with good brightness and resolution, very good data and video image quality, and a wide range of connectivity choices. One of its few shortfalls is that as an LCD-based projector, it cannot project 3D content, which you can find in many portable WXGA data projectors such as the ViewSonic PJD6544w. But that only matters if you need to project in 3D. For its winning combination of features and performance at a reasonable price, the Epson PowerLite 1781W Wireless WXGA 3LCD Projector is our latest Editors' Choice ultra-light WXGA data projector. 5 |

“This is a review for the Epson Powerlite 1781W Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review." Upon first look this seems to be just another desktop projector – thin and easy to carry, light and nice and bright at 3200 lumens. Connect the Epson Powerlite 1781W to your PC or laptop via an HDMI cable and now project your content to a much larger audience – but that’s about where the similarities end. Setup the wireless networking and now you can connect wirelessly not only from your PC/laptop, but also from your Android or Apple phone or tablet! Project phones, documents, WEB sites or even your entire phone screen; all without the need to physically connect the device to the projector. Streaming video is a little laggy over the wireless, but is crystal clear over the HDMI connection. The built-in speaker isn’t designed to overwhelm the listener, but it does a good job at recreating audio for a limited listening area. The projector also has the ability to auto adjust the image should the projector be moved. It does a good job and I’ve only had to make small, manual adjustments a few times. The adjustment can be made either on the top pf the projector, or using the handy remote control that comes with the device. The remote doubles as a wireless mouse and you can use it to control presentations with the need to be in front of your PC/laptop. The Epson Powerlite 1781W Projector is a very powerful, highly portable projector that will address both your personal and professional needs. The options are so numerous that trying to note them all in a single review is impossible, making real user reviews important for people like me when making a purchase. While I did receive this unit free of charge for my review, I truly believe that should you purchase this unit, you will find it as powerful, easy to use and flexible as I have! 5 |
