Epson 720P 3D Home Theater Projector

This projector is now installed on my ceiling, and is for home theater use with a 100 inch screen. I have had it about a week now and am completely blown away. Until now my only exposure to 3D has been in movie theaters. The HD66 is comparable to this experience, mostly limited by my sound system. You do have to adjust the factory settings but when done WOW. The only negative I have is it requires the use of an adapter (3D-XL) to view Bluray 3D movies. However, for a combined price of less than a grand, it can't be beat. I would highly recommend its purchase by others. 5 |

I purchased this projector, because it was 2nd in a top-ten list provided by a projector review website. The 3D is much better than a theater, it displays rich color, contrast is amazing as well. I now have no need to go to the theater to watch 3D, because it looks better in my basement. 5 |

This our first home theater projector, and all we can say is wow! We wish we added this to our home entertainment setup far sooner. Crisp, beautiful colors, deep blacks. Just as good in broad daylight as it is in a dark room. The 3000 lumens is a big hit. Like some other reviews have mentioned, it takes a bit to dial-in settings, but once that’s done, it’s a thing of beauty. No different from any quality display. A few things that we especially love: * The flexibility. This is great to travel with on family vacations. The fact that we bring such an awesome display with us on road trips is a game changer! * The built-in speakers make it easy to use it outside for the kids as they enjoy a movie night with friends. * The 4K resolution never fails to impress. * People have mixed feelings on 3D, but our kids LOVE it! Just note: you need EPSON 3D glasses to enjoy 3D. We didn’t know that initially, but worth it when we added the glasses. * Works well with our FireTV cube. * We’re able to shoot the projector off-center (horizontal and vertical) without any significant warp to screen resolutions. Keystone adjustments are easy enough. * It doesn’t get particularly hot and it isn’t noisy, especially on ECO mode. Bluetooth pairing with our Denon AVR-X2500 worked smoothly, but we did experience pairing issues with a Vizio B362 soundbar. YMMV. Also note, if you want a big screen (12’ +) you’ll need to place the projector a roughly the same distance from the screen. This isn’t a short-throw projector. All-in-all, Epson nailed the balance of performance and convenience with this projector package. We love everything about this projector. This is a review for the Epson Home Cinema 3800 projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. 5 |

I am using this projector in a home theatre with a 120 screen. I am driving it with a custom built HTPC and it does 3D as advertised. Picture quality is top notch and I keep it set on Eco mode for long lamp life. 5 |

This projector has made our basement into a fun home theater. We have limited space so the short-throw lens makes a big image without needing to place the projector far back from the wall. The image quality is bright and crisp. Highly recommend for a small home theater. 5 |

I bought this projector for a home theater set-up in our living room. We were initially drawn to the BenQ ht2150st, but opted for the BenQ th671st as it was lower priced and seemed mostly comparable. We've only used it once so far but are very pleased with the ease of set-up and quality of picture! The fan noise was noticeable at first, but once we started playing a movie we didn't notice it at all. A delightful addition to our home. 5 |

Like most people who’ve been cooped up at home for the last six months, finding an escape from the collapse of civilization that won’t destroy your marriage or damage your liver has become an Optomal pursuit (see what I did there?). This is where the Optoma Technology HD 146X Full HD DLP Home Theater Projector comes in. Def so high, every wrinkle, every bit of dander and speck of mud beckons you to step into an alternate world. A machine so quiet you can hear the zombies coming. And the remote control is nice because being able to turn the projector off without having to move from the blanket cocoon, so carefully constructed, is important when you want to sit in the dark and stare into the void for an indeterminate amount of time because time no longer has meaning, minutes and hours are null, and there are only episodes of ‘Girls’ and Adam Driver’s beautiful, giant, lop-sided face in so much def I can see every mole on it. Purchased as a gift, but really this was for me. Ideally would have one in every room projecting whatever things in the world I missed the most. Probably never leaving the house again, now it’s by choice. Thanks Optoma Technology HD 146X Full HD DLP Home Theater Projector, you’re the husband now. 5 |
