Epson Home Entertainment Projector

Setting up the Freestyle Gen 2 was a breeze, The user-friendly interface and straightforward controls made it a hassle-free process. I appreciate the flexibility to stream content from various sources, making it a versatile addition to my home theater. One standout feature is the built-in speakers. The audio quality is surprisingly good, eliminating the need for external speakers in most cases. However, if you want to take your audio experience to the next level, there are convenient connectivity options for external sound systems. The portability of this projector is a major plus. It’s easy to move around the house or even take outdoors for movie nights under the stars. Thanks to the Samsung Freestyle Gen 2 projector, I no longer need to go to movie theaters to enjoy a cinematic experience. This projector has brought the theater experience right into my home, making movie nights with family and friends a memorable occasion. I have an Epson 5050 for my home theater with a 175 screen. I bought it because I needed the brightness for that screen size, it has very good contrast and I hate the rainbow effect of single-chip DLP. When it came time for a projector for my office video editing suite, I felt the 5050 was overkill on a 150 screen. Reviews on this 3800 were good so I took a chance and I have to say it's great. Good optics, very sharp picture, good image. Contrast not quite as good as the 5050 but close. The 3D capability is awesome. This is an outstanding projector and because it's 3 LCD, no rainbow effect. Plenty bright for a 150 screen too. Very sharp. Love it.

This projector is Epson's mid level Pro UHD projector. It replaces the Epson Home Cinema 3700 with a few upgrades. This new 3800 has 4k HDR10 and does the full 18gbps @60hz. Its a wonderful value for what you get with 3000 lumens of brightness, 100,000:1 contrast ratio, horizontal and vertical lens shift. Its a great value for its price range.

I just purchased a new 4K Epson projector for my home and as I have done for my previous home projectors, I always buy a spare bulb right away. I probably won't need if for at least three years, but just in case, I'll have it hand if it goes early. The price from B&H was the best out there and it clearly was an original Epson product. Here's hoping that I DON'T need it from some time to come.

I have several Epson products and this is a winner! The set up was so easy and fast.... I am very impressed with how bright the projection is even in full daylight in my studio! Also, the Auto Keystone Correction was great!....Thats a huge plus for me. When I tilt the Projector up, it adjusts the image for the angle....Love that! Another HUGE bonus is the speaker!.....I was shocked at how good it sounds on its own... and that is VERY rare for a small projector. Impressive! The resolution on this projector is quite amazing!.... I projected an image equivalent to about 90 inches wide and it was super clear, and very sharp! I do wish that it had a zoom feature, but thats not a deal breaker at all. The fact that this powerful projector easily fits into a backpack or small luggage is fantastic! I travel alot and will take it on many trips. I do wish that it had more HDMI Ports.... but I can use an external hub. Big plus that I love is the Android feature! I use Android Phones and this will come in handy in so many ways! Overall, this Epson is a WINNER to me....its light weight, sharp, great design and very affordable!...

I am going for my second pair of home entertainment a natural boost for my system.
