Eq For Computer Speakers

I love the Connection input on the Play 5 and while I currently own the earlier Play 5 it is still outstanding. I cannot wait to get my hands on the new Play 5. I love it when a friend comes over and has some music on a phone or other device, I can just plug it in and hear their latest favorite. In my office it also makes a compelling speaker improvement over my computer monitor and speakers. I can check out new iTunes music over a good speaker before downloading. Truly, I would love to see an Aux Input on ALL Sonos Speakers. I could drop a pair of Play 1's on my Desk and feed them from my computer. They would then do double duty as stereo music streaming from the home Sonos system but also handle computer audio needs. Right now I have the Play 5 in my office and have tuned the EQ with my iPad and still love it. Oh yeah, don't forget to enjoy tuning your Sonos speakers EQ with your iPad or iPhone. Hey how about an Android App for tuning!!! 5 |

There are 11 speakers built into the bar, and another 2 upward firing speakers to bounce sound off of the ceiling. A 6 inch downward firing, ported subwoofer powers the rear surround speakers. This system is designed to play Dolby Atmos and DTS:X encoded audio. This all adds up to movie theater experience that is amazing. The only drawback is that most TV programming is not in Dolby Atmos audio. However, using the handheld remote, you can select from EQ presets to maximize whatever sound source is driving it. We like to use the Direct EQ to enhance the clarity of dialogue. Hook up your Bluetooth mobile device and pump out your favorite tunes using the Music EQ and you'll hear crystal clear music. My dilemma is I have a 1 year old theater amp and a 5.1 speaker system that I don't know what to do with... BTW, I debuted this Vizio M-Series 5.1.2 with the movie 6 Underground. That was a good choice to pump sound through all the speakers and fire off the subwoofer. 5 |

I bought these speakers for use as bedroom Bluetooth speakers. I like that they support a decent Bluetooth codec (aptX HD) and include a remote control at this price point. Out of the box they sounded a little flat to me so I applied an EQ curve using my phones adaptive sound, eight band graphic equalizer and after a boost to the bass and treble (with the speaker Bass and Treble dials set to 0) the speakers came alive for me. This EQ curve also helps with low volume listening. The Bass and Treble dials on the speaker didn’t seem to have much of an impact to my ears. I eventually began to wonder how the speakers would sound once the internal crossover was activated and the speakers didn’t have to deal with the lower frequencies so I bought a cheap subwoofer at my local thrift store and plugged it in. I noticed a definite improvement in the sound and with the subwoofer connected I no longer need to limit these speakers to a near-field configuration. I really like the simplicity and reliability of these speakers as a Bluetooth solution. They have good range, always connect promptly and it took all of five minutes to open the box and set them up. All that was needed for surprisingly nice stereo imaging was an average Android phone, the phones built in equalizer and some favorite WAV files stored on the phones MicroSD card. These speakers are highly recommended. My only quibble is that the remote feels a little cheap, but works fine. 5 |

These speakers sound great and the EQ allows boosting the bass. I love the stereo pairing! So many of us have been losing out on the stereo sound by using single speakers. It is such a loss of the music experience listening to only one speaker. As soon as I paired these, the stereo panning intended by the recording artist became so obvious again. Such a shame so many people miss out on that using only one speaker. Overall the sound could be louder by adding the sub-woofer. That way the bass would not have to be EQ'd as high on the Fives allowing them to be driven to higher volume without blowing them out. 5 |

The Bose Soundlink Max speakers have quickly become my go-to for both home, work and outdoor listening. Right out of the box, I was impressed by their solid build and sleek design. The handle feels really nice and makes it very easy to carry around and it is an added bonus that they made it very easy to replace the handle if I need to. When looking at things like that, you can really see they put a lot of thought into these speakers. They look great on my shelf and held up well on my trip to the beach with all the sand. What really won me over was the sound quality with the customizable EQ and the Snapdragon Sound. The bass is deep and rich without being overwhelming, the mids are clear, and the highs are crisp. I tested them with various genres, from acoustics to alternative to EDM, and the sound could be catered to my taste with the EQ. Even at higher volumes, there’s no distortion, which was a big plus for me when we had people over. I can't say enough about the battery life. One charge lasted me through many listening sessions. Bluetooth connectivity is seamless and has a good range. I was able to leave my phone inside and still control the music from my backyard. One thing I am hoping for is a travel case in the future for the speakers. I was a bit worried putting them in my bag or suitcase. The price is also on the higher side, but I feel it’s justified given the quality and durability. I see these speakers as an investment, and I’m confident they’ll last me a long time. For anyone serious about their audio experience and looking for a reliable, high-quality portable speaker, I highly recommend the Bose Soundlink Max. 5 |

I never mixed with headphones before because it just sounded so odd when I tried. I was told to try these and it really helps - it is as comfortable as with real speakers - You can make eq and balance decisions with them. Great for low end listening where most home studio monitors fail. 5 |

Have four in ceiling speakers and the amp. Hooked to my TV and wireless to amp from my phone. I would like an eq that's more than just treble and bass. I also have a sub. My garage rocks the neighborhood and I live out in the country. 5 |

For the price, it is a basic EQ that I bought last minute to use in line for a mono feed to a series of speakers in a loud gym space production. I was short for equipment in this production that involved multiple spaces for production. This EQ was only used for EQ on 7 wirelss LAVs in this loud boomy room. I was able to cut all the hot frequencies with 4 very cheap low quality self powered speakers (all 300-500w). For its price range, it is basic and simple and did the job. XLR in/out was a must. 5 |
