Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 Software

I've been using the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard (4000?) for years. I've found that I need to see the keys more often and thought the old keyboard quite large. While looking for low-vision keyboards I found this illuminated model. I thought I'd never adapt to or like a flat keyboard like this but I was so wrong. This is the best keyboard I've ever used. Easy strike, silent, and I can see the keys without bright room lighting -- even without my glasses! A full numbers layout, easy extra function keys, great configuration, easy setup, and a sophisticated appearance. Love it. Highly recommended for everyone at all skill levels. 5 |

It is the only compact ergonomic keyboard that seems to be available, that is structurally sound (without bending). 5 |

I am very pleased with this product. Before buying it I had worn out two Nikon LS-4000 ED scanners, both of which had Silverfast installed. Already knowing how to use that software was a huge plus. Once I got the 8200i registered (my Mac does not have a CD drive and I had to register so I could download the Silverfast software from the internet). This version of Silverfast is easier to use than what I had been using. It also has fewer features and is considered an amateur version. Since I did not use most (if not all) of the features that are missing I haven't found that a problem. The registration process isn't as easy as it could be. I read a lengthy review of it on this site and made sure I had my scanner's serial number and plenty of time when I started. It takes the 8200i longer to scan a slide than it took the LS 4000 with Silverfast. But we're talking a few minutes. None of my scans has been published, but I don't expect any problems. They look good to me, except for the one Kodachrome slide I tried. The colors were off. Don't know if that can be fixed or not. 5 |

I'm using this keyboard with Nuendo. The shortcuts are a great time saver. It's ergonomic. Highly recommend it. 5 |

It works exactly as intended. I got a trackball to try and make my environment more ergonomic and avoid RSI. It's too soon to tell if this will be a big improvement in that respect, but as a pointing device, it's fine. The scroll function is fantastic and totally intuitive after about twenty minutes. I have never used a trackball. It's taken about a week to get back most of my accuracy with a mouse, but I'm also 47 years old and that's to be expected. Some reviews complain about the buttons. They work fine and don't feel especially Cheap. The accurate mode is interesting, but I have an intuos tablet for fine work in Photoshop and other design programs, so it's more of a novetly for me. The software works well. I had to mess with the acceleration a little bit (27 mac monitor), but that's to be expected. I'm tempted to fire up Call of Duty and see how badly I do on it! Overall, if you want a finger ball, this one is well-made with good software. It won't replace an emotional void in your life, but as a piece of hardware it's great. 5 |

It was quick and easy to install. It glides in and out nicely. My large, ergonomic keyboard does not fit well but I am making due. I'm not sure about the slide out mouse holder however I'm trying it out. 5 |

Exactly what I wanted from an ergonomic keyboard; compact, has the number keypad, and a good layout. Only downside is these are the squishy keys as opposed to the more tactile keys I like, but you can't have everything. 5 |

The ergonomic, lighted keyboard is everything I have been looking for. For years I bought other forms of lighted keyboards. One just had lights under the key section but the keys themselves didn't light up. One lit all the spaces between the keys but nothing ever lit up each letter on the keys. None of the other lighted keyboards were ergonomically shaped. This board gives you varying intensity of the lights, three colors of lights, lights on and off switch and is ergonomically configured. Somebody really put some thought into this keyboard. 5 |

Bought two of these to mount halves of an ergonomic keyboard to (yeah, also need tablet mounts to actually hold the keyboard halves). Rock solid platform even with me mashing on the keys all day. 5 |
