An essential add on to the FX9, even if you only do occasional hand-held. It's well made and very solid, but most importantly it allows you to put the camera down on its base whilst still attached to the camera. The sony arm cannot be swung out of the way which is a weird and frustrating design fault. The shape unit solves the problem elegantly. 5 |

This is ESSENTIAL for long exposures in Landscape Photography! If you have an unsteady hand on your shutter release, this solves any issue you may have with blurred images. I use it for all of my long exposure photography. Definitely worth the small cost! 5 |

Getting used to this addition to an already heavy camera took some time. Its really essential to use a comfortable hand grip/strap to keep your fingers from getting tired out. But the controls (shutter, etc.) on the unit are conveniently located for easy reach even with a tight strap. 5 |
