I have this wifi access point mounted on a high wall in the central part of the house; it easily provides coverage to all rooms (4000' feet home). You need to have access to an ethernet cable and you must be able to provide power over ethernet or be able to use the included power injector somewhere along the cable run. It works very well and is fairly easy to set up, but it's not a home handyman type of thing. 5 |

When we mounted the TV on the Stair wall there was no place for the cable box/DVR. This device allowed us to put the box around the corner in another room. And yes, it works fine with Optimum's Scientific Atlanta 8300HD box. We just made sure the IR emitter was right over the IR receiver on the box. Absolutely worth the price. 5 |

A couple of bolts into a wall stud and some easy assembly was all it took. Fits a cable box and an Apple TV box plus remotes with room to spare. Now there's TV in the kitchen and breakfast table! 5 |
