Ethernet Cable Bottleneck

My existing switch was becoming a bottleneck as we had more devices supporting Gb ethernet and starting to transfer large files. We pulled that out of our rack and dropped this one in and had nice fast transfers in a matter of minutes. Ou building cable plant was Cat5 but it still managed to get Gb speeds between network segments. Sometime we'll start adding some IP phones so I opted for the slightly more expensive PoE model as a future-proofing method, but haven't really tested that out. 5 |
