Ethernet Cable Broken Network Adapter Problem

I'm using this with my Macbook Air that only has USB-C ports and no ethernet port. This adapter worked right out of the box to give me an ethernet connection. Just plugged the ethernet cable in to the adapter, connected the adapter to the CPU's USB-C port, and my computer connected to my work network flawlessly. The wifi at my work is not great, so this adapter is giving me a fast network connection now through ethernet. I did a speed test and I'm getting approximately 500mbps upload/download speeds with this adapter, which is fantastic. I also appreciate that the adapter has LED indicators. One light shows there is a connection (green). The middle light shows there is power (White/blue). And the 3rd light blinks orange to show there is activity. Having these lights could come in handy if I need to trouble shoot, which is very helpful. The build quality is also really good. This feels like it will last a long time. The cable seems sturdy and the ethernet cable plugs in securely into the adapter's port. Overall, I'm happy with this adapter and it is working very well. I'm using this with my older Macbook pro that does not have USB-C or ethernet ports. I just plugged this adapter in my USB-A port and it worked right away. The computer saw it and connected to my network without any issues. This will come in super handy when I need the fastest signal possible. Or if the wireless connection is spotty. I did a speed test with this adapter connected and I was getting over 500 mbps upload and download speeds on my work network connection, which is as fast as I can expect to get. I'm happy with this adapter and it would be hard to beat at this price. This is a very affordable solution if your computer does not have its own ethernet port. I purchased the two-pack Actiontec Bonded MoCA Network Adapters after reading about them online. They are extremely simple to install. All you do is connect one to your tv cable and plug in you ethernet source and you're ready to go. You must have at least two adapters to complete the network. I installed the second one in our living room. This time I just connected the tv cable to the adapter and it was the ethernet source for my streaming devices. I was so satisfied with these adapters, I purchased the wi-fi extender with which I am equally pleased. I've gotten over 100 Mps with this wi-fi extender - unbelievable!! If you need a hard wire ethernet in your house, this is the simplest way to get one - using your existing cable tv lines. I decided to cut the cord on cable tv because my bill went up nearly $20 per month with no change in service. With this device, I am able to run OTA TV and streaming devices over my home tv cables and it's like magic. I definitely recommend this produce to anyone interested in a MoCA network. 5 |

This is the way to go if you want to expand the bandwidth of your home network without running ethernet cable, and IMO is far superior to powerline adapters. They are truly plug and play, and require no setup at all once correctly connected to your router. My home was built with coax running to each room. I bought the 2 pack of these adapters to get more bandwidth for media streaming to my TV, and I am getting close to the advertised gigabit speeds. Just make sure you also buy a MOCA POE filter or else your data will travel out of your house into the cable network ... they are cheap so buy one and save yourself the headache. Also, these are not compatible with satellite TV .. only cable. 5 |

Nice equipment working great for internet service through both wifi and ethernet cable. Its slim design takes small space but covers the whole house both upstairs and downstairs (over 2000 sqf). The app allows to set up the network including a separate guest network and password easily. 5 |

Simple to set up with a wireless network and plugging an ethernet cable into the printer. Produces nice photos and copies. We use it for everyday use, not high detail work. Do buy extra ink because the starters don't last long, 5 |

Not much to say about an ethernet cable, except that it works. 5 |

Not much to say, it's a USB to Ethernet adapter. Works exactly like you would want it to. 5 |

I purchased this to increase the WiFi coverage in my house. I was considering purchasing 2, but started with 1 just to see the coverage. Overall, I get about 25% better signal at each end of the house with this set up in the center so an improvement over the WiFi router my ISP provides. I have basic networking experience and the software was a breeze to setup. I really think anyone could do it, but give yourself a good 15 mins to click around and understand their web interface. I simply plugged an ethernet cable into my existing WiFi router, then into the PoE adapter that came with the AP. Then just ran a second ethernet cable from the PoE adapter to the AP. Mounted it on a wall with their hardware and was done, took less than 5 min total. 5 |

I needed to attach an Ethernet cable to a MacBook (of course no ports on the MacBook) so I got this with an adapter so I could use the cable and then the adapter with USB to plug into the laptop. Once the correct driver was installed for the MacBook / adapter all worked great. Instructions for all could be better. Thanks to B&H for super advice and support! 5 |
