I'm using this with my Macbook Air that only has USB-C ports and no ethernet port. This adapter worked right out of the box to give me an ethernet connection. Just plugged the ethernet cable in to the adapter, connected the adapter to the CPU's USB-C port, and my computer connected to my work network flawlessly. The wifi at my work is not great, so this adapter is giving me a fast network connection now through ethernet. I did a speed test and I'm getting approximately 500mbps upload/download speeds with this adapter, which is fantastic. I also appreciate that the adapter has LED indicators. One light shows there is a connection (green). The middle light shows there is power (White/blue). And the 3rd light blinks orange to show there is activity. Having these lights could come in handy if I need to trouble shoot, which is very helpful. The build quality is also really good. This feels like it will last a long time. The cable seems sturdy and the ethernet cable plugs in securely into the adapter's port. Overall, I'm happy with this adapter and it is working very well. We use these for our timeclocks that are not wifi but have an ethernet cable connection. Works well. 5 |

Overall excellent! Works as advertised. Be careful of quick start directions. Step three says wait up to 10 minutes for modem to initially boot up until online light stops blinking. Step four says call cable company to activate. In reality these steps need to be reversed or blinking light never stops? 5 |

Having the LCD screen makes the charger a much better tool than the standard blinking light setup on original unit. Ability to charge 2 batteries at once a bonus as well. 5 |
