Ethernet Cat6 Ruggedized Adapters

This is the cheapest SFP+ switch (but reliable) I could find for my homelab. Many others are more expensive. After reading reviews on the Mikrotik SFP+ options I decided to stay with Unifi since I already had many Ubiquiti Ethernet switches and a controller in place. I am also connecting this to a Unifi 24-port via 1-Gb SFP as a link and connecting to my core switch via 10GbE over CAT6. Core switch is an FS.COM unit with a 10GbE Ethernet transceiver. No issues negotiating to 10GbE. The CAT6 cable run is probably under 50 feet. I am also using old Finisar transceivers without issue, but have not tried DAC cables yet. However, if you do not have a Unifi Controller in place perhaps wait for the new QNAP managed combo switches coming out. It will be a lot simpler. Or you can get the more expensive EdgeSwitch ES-16-XG. 5 |

Unlike some other USB to Ethernet adapters, this one indicated GB speeds and actually delivered them. Easy setup and to use. 5 |

Totally reliable so far. Wish it did not cost so much more than all other USB-C to Ethernet adapters, but I bought three, so it's obviously worth it to me! 5 |

I purchased the two-pack Actiontec Bonded MoCA Network Adapters after reading about them online. They are extremely simple to install. All you do is connect one to your tv cable and plug in you ethernet source and you're ready to go. You must have at least two adapters to complete the network. I installed the second one in our living room. This time I just connected the tv cable to the adapter and it was the ethernet source for my streaming devices. I was so satisfied with these adapters, I purchased the wi-fi extender with which I am equally pleased. I've gotten over 100 Mps with this wi-fi extender - unbelievable!! If you need a hard wire ethernet in your house, this is the simplest way to get one - using your existing cable tv lines. I decided to cut the cord on cable tv because my bill went up nearly $20 per month with no change in service. With this device, I am able to run OTA TV and streaming devices over my home tv cables and it's like magic. I definitely recommend this produce to anyone interested in a MoCA network. 5 |

This is by far the best non-Ethernet home networking solution on the market delivering near 1G Ethernet speeds. There were some teething issues for me that I had to resolve, but since then my three adapters have been rock solid. So much so I just bought 2 more. A few tech notes from the issues I had to resolve. High frequency bandwidth is everything for these adapters. Make sure you have RG6 wires, this should not be an issue if using cable wiring preinstalled in the last 30-40 years or more recently by the cable company. In my case the in wall wiring was OK with RG6 cable. However a previous owner had used cheap R59 jumpers (with cheap twist on terminations) between a rat's nest of cheap Radio Shack splitters that couldn't pass more than 1 GHz. I bought a higher quality 6-way splitter rated up to 2 GHz. I also found that having a filter designed to contain the MOCA signals within the house was an absolute necessity. This filter is installed at the input to the splitter for me. I think the filter either addressed a high frequency impedance issue or controlled signal reflections that were causing issues. As an aside to anyone who cares, these adapters do pass VLANs and probably any other Ethernet L2 items like jumbo frames and the like. I believe all MOCA adapters do is to encapsulate Ethernet frames and seamlessly pass it over the MOCA network. 5 |

You can buy less expensive ethernet adapters for your Mevo, but I'm glad I got this one. I wasn't sure if I could run power as well as connect to ethernet to stream church services. This works great. 5 |

This is the way to go if you want to expand the bandwidth of your home network without running ethernet cable, and IMO is far superior to powerline adapters. They are truly plug and play, and require no setup at all once correctly connected to your router. My home was built with coax running to each room. I bought the 2 pack of these adapters to get more bandwidth for media streaming to my TV, and I am getting close to the advertised gigabit speeds. Just make sure you also buy a MOCA POE filter or else your data will travel out of your house into the cable network ... they are cheap so buy one and save yourself the headache. Also, these are not compatible with satellite TV .. only cable. 5 |

Works flawlessly without any drop unlike Powerline Ethernet adapters. Just make sure to create a network using the adapters in 2-Pack first before adding(pairing) any other individual single pack MOCA adapters. 5 |

We're using these adapters to run ethernet and POE to Unifi G3 Flex cameras in our condo's elevators. The cars have 18 gauge stranded wire pairs in the travelers, so we tested with speaker wire before having the elevator techs handle the connection to the traveler. Setup was quick and easy. Worked instantly and flawlessly. 5 |
