We had a lightning strike at our office and the surge travelled through the internet lines (ethernet in our office) which fried our old Dream Machine. This purchase was a replacement as I could not go any other direction. This Dream Machine provides firewall protection and ease of access from multi-office servers. Needless to say, lightning does take out cable modems even on a surge protector. Mine would not work after being fried so I bought the same brand only to have the model not in working order when it arrived. I saw that I already had a NETGEAR router so decided to make it a pair with the cable modem. Have had no problems since installation. Only wish that the owners manual would be included in the box. 5 |

I have only had this surge protector but about 1 month and so far it has been a good one have not had no lightning storms are bad power surges yet to see if it will do its job. 5 |

This Surge Protector is the perfect size for behind my TV. I love that it has an outlet on top and botton for my bigger plugs and also the end outlet can accommodate a bigger longer plug as well. The last surge protector I had did not have them and my bigger plugs would cover up multiple oulets. I love that it has a small green power light and a small red grounded light so that you know it is working. If you need a 7 outlet surge protector look no further. 5 |
