Ethernet To Firewire Adapter Mac

Backward compatibility is important when you have been in this game for long (my first Mac bought in 1993). This adapter made it possible to daisy-chain an old LaCie Firewire 400 drive containing old photos through first a Firewire to Thunderbolt 2 adaptor and then the current Thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter. Plug and play. Worked like a charm.

Works fine with Windows and Mac. This adapter can basically max out a gigabit Ethernet connection. I have it connected to a USB port on the back of my monitor so that a single cable gets me not only power and video, but also a better internet connection.

Not much to say, it's a USB to Ethernet adapter. Works exactly like you would want it to.

This is the highest end product that MAC makes. Imagine, a 24 virtual core processor! ...I was worried about migrating my old Mac Pro to the new one. But from the point of starting it up and connecting a fire wire cord, it went exactly as MAC said it would. I was up and working within two hours, just like nothing had happened (except it's faster now) :-)I use this machine for Video and Audio, plus web design and raw photography editing. B&H installed more memory, and it was perfectly done. ADVICE: If you are upgrading to this machine and keeping your monitor, make certain you know that the monitor inputs are probably NOT what you have. A simple adaptor will probably be needed. I ordered it.Also: Keep handy your serial numbers for hi-end programs. Some of them migrate fine, but want you to again authorize the use.Also: The Firewire connectors are all Firewire 800 style. Firewire 400 will still work, but again, you need adaptors to use them. Not knowing this, kind of slowed me down a day or so, since I didn't know this.B&H has always come through for me. ...This is a great product.

The USB-C to Ethernet + Charging adapter charges your connected device while also providing an ethernet connection, so no need for multiple connectors. I have been using this on my Android phone and my laptop, both devices have a USB-C port and my Belkin adapter worked great on both devices. It provided an adequate charge and a stable internet connection without any issues. The adapter was immediately recognized by both devices and there was no need to install any software to make the adapter work. After running Lightroom and Photoshop on a MacBook Pro for about 5 years, I finally broke down and bought the Mac Pro. I did not realize how much time I had been wasting, twiddling my thumbs while the old MacBook churned away processing images. The Mac Pro is very fast and quiet and has a nice assortment of ports. After purchasing a Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter, I was able to quickly mount two daisy chained external Firewire drives along with a USB3 drive and a new Thunderbolt backup drive. It is also nice to have the 1TB internal flash drive for software and temporary storage. It took me a while to figure out that I needed a new, Thunderbolt to Display Port cable to connect the Mac Pro to my 27 inch NEC monitor. Once I got the NEC cable and a keyboard, I was quickly up and running with a monitor resolution of 2560 x 1440 (no adaptor required). Although the Mac Pro does not have an optical drive, I learned that it can share the drive on my MacBook Pro using WiFi or an ethernet cable. I was able to use this approach to install some software that I have on CDs. Overall, I am very happy with the Mac Pro. It may be the last computer that I ever buy.
