I have a small hatch back and was looking for a mobile power station to use with my electric cooler. The space in my trunk is very constrained and simply put, this knocks it out of the park. This unit easily runs my cooler for 24 hours, even in my confined trunk with minimal airflow. I have also been using it as a portable power station to run my Laptop, charge USB devices, etc. with zero difficulties. It really is as simple as plug in and go. The light weight is also a massive bonus and makes loading the car very simple! 5 |

The Vello not only triggers my off-camera Canon 580 EX-II with ETL, but also my Yongnuo YN560-III set as a slave as I found out when only the Yongnuo would fire it took some fiddling with the 580 EX-II to get it to work. I balked at using flash because the results were not to my liking, equipment cost and the learning curve. The 580 EX-II was expensive. The photos were still not to my liking so I explored off camera flash with pocket wizards but lost ETL. I went to a cable that allows off camera ETL, but the tether was awkward. The Vello allows freedom, keeps ETL and eliminates cost as a barrier. I haven't handled the Canon version and likely the build quality is far superior but the Vello far exceeds my expectations. 5 |
