Eufy Doorbell Camera Privacy Issue

Excellent doorbell camera. Provides full video before and after actual event, unlike the Eufy that we replaced. Love the simple door bell chime that can be plugged into any outlet, including a nice selection of tones. All-in-all, very happy with this purchase, easy to install and more reliable connection than our Eufy requiring the limiting HomeBase.

Best DoorBell out there, haven't had an issue yet.

...looking forward to getting a doorbell working with it down the road. Great for someone looking to learn more about networking because there are ample tutorials available online. Note I did see in their privacy policy that one grants them the right to come to you to inspect it's use, inspect your equipment, and review your books... feels very invasive and controlling, but I didn't want to return it, already had it installed... Just encourage reading of the fine print for all your privacy policies, even if we can't change them, one should know if they are invasive or tracking you et cetera...

Use it in the kitchen, photo frame, speaker, streaming the Eufy doorbell. Everything works great so far !

You can use this doorbell by wired connection or it’s powered by battery. The video captures a wide angle and provides an alert to your phone when there is motion detected. One really great feature is that you can speak to the person outside your door when they ring the doorbell. It is compatible with Alexa making it super convenient. I highly recommend this doorbell!

The app is also easy to use and it’s great to be able to see the videos right there in the app. The doorbell has a nice chime, not too loud or obnoxious like some! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving one-too-many strange visitors at my door, I decided that it was time to get a video doorbell. I have always been wary of adding more technology to my home out of concern for my privacy, but this system is private and secure. All videos are stored in your home (not the cloud) and can be deleted by you at any time. Setup was fairly easy. The directions aren't very detailed but getting started is pretty straightforward. I love that the device serves as a doorbell, an intercom, and a camera. I can do a live view to see what is happening at my door, even when I am not home. I can also review videos to see what happened during the day. The night-vision is pretty good and I like that it lights up at night when someone approaches. There are so many settings including package detection and reminders, ignoring non-human movement, automatically alerting you and responding if someone is loitering outside your door, and ignoring certain areas so the device is not triggered by cars driving by. The options are endless, perfect for the differing needs of different homes. I was also worried about it needing to be connected to the internet since my internet is sometimes spotty but it hasn't overloaded my internet or caused outages. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised by how this doorbell strikes the perfect balance of ensuring privacy while providing numerous options for security!

I have had several Ring doorbells. I couldn't get those doorbells to show streaming even when I was inside my own home. I never had that issue with the Lorex camera doorbell. I love the Lorex products
