Eufy Video Doorbell Dual Camera With Homebase 2

Excellent doorbell camera. Provides full video before and after actual event, unlike the Eufy that we replaced. Love the simple door bell chime that can be plugged into any outlet, including a nice selection of tones. All-in-all, very happy with this purchase, easy to install and more reliable connection than our Eufy requiring the limiting HomeBase.

Use it in the kitchen, photo frame, speaker, streaming the Eufy doorbell. Everything works great so far !

You can use this doorbell by wired connection or it’s powered by battery. The video captures a wide angle and provides an alert to your phone when there is motion detected. One really great feature is that you can speak to the person outside your door when they ring the doorbell. It is compatible with Alexa making it super convenient. I highly recommend this doorbell!

The app is also easy to use and it’s great to be able to see the videos right there in the app. The doorbell has a nice chime, not too loud or obnoxious like some! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The eufy Cam 3 is amazing. The 4K video is crystal clear and very detailed. I use this camera to keep an eye on my kids and their outside play area. The camera alerts me on my phone when it catches any motion from my kids. A great peace of mind. I absolutely love the fact that the camera does not have to be hard wired for power. It's a huge bonus. The large solar panel on the top of the camera provides good surface area for charging. It has yet to die and I always have adequate battery life. The solar charging makes installation so easy. Without the need to run any power wires, all you have to do is screw in the base and attach the camera. It really only took about five minutes total for me. I am definitely going to add a few more of these solar cameras around my home. With the combination of great video quality, and the ease of installation, the eufy Cam 3 just can't be beat. Highly Recommended.

I had many concerns over this kit before making my decision. Now, I can clarify some of them after 3 months of use. (1) Can the solar panels keep the cameras charged during the dark drizzly winter in Pacific Northwest? Yes. I installed the 2 cameras south-facing with some trees casting shadows but not completely in the shadow. The camera batteries were always over 90% charged. I'm confident that I don't have to take them down for charging at least before the batteries wear out. (2) Is the detection fast? Yes. The detection is quite fast and effective. In a bright day, it can identify the person most of the time. At night, it cannot recognize the person. (3) Can I get notification instantly? Since the footages were stored locally in the homebase, the notification has to travel from the homebase to the cloud, and back to my phone. It usually takes ~1s. Whenever I walk into the camera's detection range, I expect my watch to beep within 1-2 seconds. Overall, I'm happy that I have a decent surveillance at my home without paying a subscription fee.
