European Refrigerator Small French Door Or Bottom Mount

The door really closes like a refrigerator, has a good seal. The glass door is strong and the operation of the humidity control is absolutely silent. I was looking for a solution for using a small hand strap on the Sony a9. I didn't want to buy a clutch like I have on my Canon 1DX, because it was so big. So I took an Olympus OM-D hand strap that I already had and used this anchor mount as the bottom strap mount for the hand strap. The a9 is mounted in a Lim's half case, so the anchor mount is actually mounted to the bottom of the cases's tripod mount. It works very well and does not rotate. I use these to mount small monitors, and audio recorders to the top and bottom rails of my video camera (BMMCC). The camera cage has RRS rails installed on the top and bottom, so I can mount lights, recorders, monitors, microphones. The Arca-Swiss clamp tightening knob works flawlessly and is silky-smooth. The QR-style lever for the ball is a bit awkward - it is hard to find the right tension - not too tight, not too loose to make adjustments... But once you get the position set, and tighten the clamp, it is incredibly sturdy. I am not aware of any competitive option, this small, this flexible, this sturdy, this high-quality, at any price. Yes it is really expensive, but the build quality is unsurpassed. Once you have it, you won't regret the price. I only have 2 of these but wish I had 10. Made in USA.

I purchased this for my R8. It basically gives my pinky purchase on the front of the camera instead of the front corner or bottom. This provides more comfortable control when manipulating the camera. The battery/memory door works very well. You remove the door on the camera, and use the door on the extension. I use an falcam38 mount attached to the camera full time and have had no issues. (for use with camera strap and tripod)

Best thing I can say about buying Tentacle on B&H is that you don't have to pay that ridiculous European shipping for such a small item. Works just as it needs to!
