Ewa Marine Db Underwater Housing For Mirrorless Cameras

I use this in my underwater housing for Marine photos and above ground for architecture and landscapes. I bought this lens as a replacement for the first one. I purchased after that set of gear was stolen in a smash and grab burglary of my car. Only drawback is the field of view is so wide that you have to be careful to keep your toes out of the shot.

I bought this lens primarily to shoot marine life in an underwater housing. I have seen results from other underwater photographers, and the wide angle macro images are stunning. Can't wait to get it underwater in the Maldives this fall.

We use the newer Panasonic AG-HMC150 and this VP2 EWA-Marine product was recommended directly from the manufacturer as compatible. It is, it does work great. We did fashion some internal foam to keep the lens in line with the glass but otherwise it works great. We strap it to the front of a sea kayak and take GREAT HD footage while kayaking in and out of sea caves in the Channel Islands off the central California coast.

This case is perfect for my needs,it was bought with two uses in view: As a protection case for my underwater photo gear (I use a mirrorless system); As a carry on case for short trips. It stores my basic gear for underwater photo: One Housing for mirrorless system; Two strobes; Housing double handle tray Four 20cm arms; Six simple clamps; Two sea&sea strobe adapters; If I need there is still room for wet diopters, two extra lenses, or one mini dome port (for the 8mm panasonic fish eye). As a cary on case it is perfect you can fit enough clothes for more than one or two weeks if you are not going to a polar region.

I have had previous iterations of Sony's underwater housing for cybershot cameras such as the MPK-WEB. I find this a vast improvement. The controls are well spaced and intuitive, giving full access to all the cameras features. The additional locking mechanism on the also side ensures no chance of inadvertently opening the back door while in use. I cant wait to try it out on our next adventure!!

I intend on using this lens for some lanscapes as well as under over shots with underwater housing.

The original housing is my second underwater housing and the difference in the quality of the product is more than obvious.

The packets are small enough to fit inside most underwater housing systems. They do the job they are made for.
