I must admit, the first time I unboxed the instrument, I was amazed at the build quality. It has some heft, the keys are properly and ergonomically placed and you know Akai really took their time to perfect this wind controller. But as a long time saxophone player, the first time I actually played some scales, I was quite disappointed - it didn't feel like a saxophone. I was beginning to regret my purchase and thought about exchanging it for the WX5. So I gave it a few more days. Days turned to weeks, and I am beginning to appreciate this instrument. Keep practicing those scales, breathing with the mouthpiece and you realize how this is such an amazing wind controller. I made a mistake thinking that this is a replacement for a saxophone in an apartment situation. In reality, you should think about how this instrument can be an extension to your musical endeavors. The possibilities you can do with the sounds and playability are endless. There are a few usable synths prebuilt, but I suggest using the Akai EWI 5000 Editor to really play and edit your sounds then save it to the user bank. Also there are synths out there that can be used if you plug the EWI as just a midi wind controller; unfortunately you can't upload other synth sounds into the controller. Definitely give it some time to get used to the instrument especially moving from one octave to another. Keep practicing and you'll appreciate that there's hardly any moving parts here. I was opposed at it first since horns have that tactile and key feedback. But with the touch sensitivity, it really felt I was playing an instrument from the future. Again, you just have to get used to it - think about when mobile phones shift from physical keyboards to the modern phones we have today. And here I am today still keeping my purchase and writing a review. I thank Akai for making a top-notch wind controller and continuing the support for the modern electronic wind musician. 5 |

A must if you work on sensitive electronics. For Example: Installing ram to your new expensive computer. 5 |

THE LENS IS A SUPERB EXAMPLE OF THE QUALITY OF AN L SERIES. I chose those this lens over the 28-105 f4L due to much research etc. the lens is fantastic. Beautiful ambient light with 2.8, sharp and accurate and FAST autofocus. Beautiful background blurr (bokaehk) built like a tank. 5 |

These things are tough and stout and I use them to mount cameras or lights to almost anything! Example: I want a camera right over the officiant at a wedding so that it's looking at the bride/groom with the crowd in the background, but I don't want a tripod cluttering the stage. This clamp lets me put it on some piece of the backdrop! Example: I'm doing an interview in a hallway and want a hair light on my subject, but there's not enough space to put a light stand out of the way. So I clamp this and a light to the trim board around a door frame and point the light on my subjects hair. Presto! Example: I have my main camera on a tripod with the Talent looking into the lens. I want a 2nd camera, but don't have another tripod. I just clap this to the foremost leg of my tripod and mount my 2nd camera right below my main camera. Talent's eye line is almost identical and cuts together well. I love these things for getting a solid shot for timelapses (see photo) I pair these with the Ulanzi U-80L Side Cold Shoe Mount Ball Head for a solid combination. 5 |

I've used several of these in locations where I needed more than one device but only had a single CAT6 run. Example is an AP drop where I wanted to add a camera. Both devices are PoE so pop this in between and bingo bango boom ... support for 4 PoE devices. I have one mounted outside under and eave and no issues. They get a little warm (not hot) so make sure they have room to breathe as they are passive cooling. 5 |

I use this body instead of the 5D Mk11 when I want to add range (distance) to my stable of lenses. Example: I get 640 mm out of my 100 to 400mm zoom with no f-stop sacrifice. It is also useful ad a second body with other lenses attached and ready for use. No deficiencies at this point. 5 |

I HAVE A HOME STUDIO AND THE AKG C414 XLII SETS AN EXAMPLE FOR RECORDING VOICES. IT HAS A BRIGHT END NOT SUITABLE FOR ALL INSTRUMENT RECORDINGS BUT IF YOU PLAN TO USE THIS MIC FOR VOCALS, BE SURE YOU HAVE CHOSEN THE BEST. THE APOLLO TWIN DUO PROVIDES ULTRA LOW LATENCY AND IN ADDITION TO THE UAD PLUGINS IT WORKS REALLY NICE. 5 |
