Executive Desk Wedges

Very large, more for an executive style desk that is more than 3ft deep

I wanted this stool so I could get rid of the big executive chair I sit at my desk in. In a video shot, or still image, the chair itself takes up too much space. The stool telescopes to the desired height effortlessly.

I give this 5 stars only in respect for what we needed it for. We use this as a talkback mic from one of our FOH positions to the stage wedges. Nice lights on the unit let you know when the mic is on. Push button to talk. Sound is perfect for our needs. Wish it had a power adapter, but it only uses batteries. For our needs this shouldn't be an issue since it is only used sparingly one day a week.

The RRS L plate for the GFX is first class as expected. The feature that wedges the two pieces is pure genius, locks in place with an easy tug and pop to loosen it. The wing nut allows you to take to the field without an allen wrench that can be lost. You have to remove the L end to get the battery out, but I use the 110v charging system, so there is no need to remove the battery. If I am going to have a long day, I can trade out the L plate for the vertical battery grip, and use the plate alone. I am happy with it.

I use it as platform for my audio PC to minimize fan vibration and noise (surrounded with Auralex wedges mounted on MDF boards, with air channels left, of course).

so far have been doing curves and step wedges with it, like that it holds more density ergo more ink than the older version. Interestingly the curves for my H-P printer are working out well.

I liked it so much - I bought two. Use them in EQ mode with SW wedges. One - standalone. For wide-field, using DSLR, SynScan app and SkySafari. The second one - fully computer controlled with Stellarmate/KStars/Ekos on RPI4. Auto-guiding, auto-focus, plate-solving, etc. AT72EDII refractor with ATI294MC Pro camera. Auto-guiding is not great (especially in DEC) but acceptable - 360s exposures are OK.
