Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball Review

I have been a Kensington Expert Mouse Trackball customer for decades, but up to now have only used the wired version. I wanted the wireless version for when I'm away from home. I use it with a 16 MacBook Pro and prefer something besides the built-in trackpad for moving the cursor around and scrolling chores. When I'm at home, I have the MBP plugged into a dock that has a Kensington Wired Expert Mouse connected. I'm very happy with the wireless version. Works as well for me as the wired ones at home. I use the Bluetooth connection option, not the dongle. No issues to report. Yes, the trackball is somewhat bulky, but there's plenty of room for it in my backpack. I'd recommend it! 5 |

I have been using a trackball for more at least fifteen years (my preference). The 4-button USB Expert Pro Mouse - Trackball by Kensington is there best trackball yet. 5 |

I've used the Kensington Expert Mouse for years now and won't do without it. I recently bought a new iMac with the new Magic Mouse. I did like the scrolling ability of the Magic Mouse but after a week I broke down and bought another Kensington Expert Mouse. It has much more accuracy and stability than the Magic Mouse. Plus, the trackball is easier on my hands and wrist than a traditional mouse. I'm on the computer all day and do everything i can to make my day run smoother. Moving the cursor on the screen is much more intuitive to me with a trackball than with a mouse. The Kensington Expert Mouse does have both horizontal and vertical scrolling. While not as intuitive as the Magic Mouse, it still works. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used a trackball mouse for years, this is my first wireless trackball and I love it. 5 |

I've been using Kensington trackballs for about 16 years. I forget what they called the with one with the wheels but that was my first. I moved to expert mouse when optical technology came out. I still use an Expert Mouse wireless, an Expert Mouse, and now this SlimBlade. Believe me folks NOBODY makes a trackball as smooth as Kensington. I got this SlimBlade to use with my HP laptop because I just couldn't stand the products offered by Microsoft and Logitech. The SlimBlade has a unique way of scrolling by twisting the ball and after two weeks I see the death of the scroll wheel on the horizon - it's that intuitive. If you want a trackball save the money you'll waste on a MS or Logitech ball and pay the few dollars more for the Kensington. You won't go back. 5 |

This is a replacement for an old (20-25 year old) Kensington Expert Mouse Trackball - it was all dusty and gummed up. The new one was stiff at first but, after a 2 or 3 hours of use it became broken-in and now the track ball floats and slides the cursor across the screen with precision. 5 |

This is my second 4-Button USB Expert Pro Mouse - Trackball. I still use my first one and bought this one for my media manager. It eases here Carpel Tunnel Syndrome and makes her more productive. The set up is easy. The controls are easy. The ball must be cleaned on occasion and the dust must be cleaned from the ball receptacle. 5 |

Have used the expert mouse since it was a two button trackball in the late 90s. this product has always been very good at allowing fine movements on screen. the only problems even encountered was the failure of the left button switch on my original mouse. also dust would enter the cavity and cause erratic behavior of the mouse. this problem has been eliminated with the use of the optical tracking system. 5 |

This is my second Kensington Expert Mouse Trackball. I would have likely had more but they are made so well and last so long that Im only on my second. The first I bought in 1989 when they first came out and it only just died (Sept 2024). You should know that as a left handed artist using a wacom and stylus plus my trackball for my right hand, my digital workflow is so fluid and seamless that I can't imagine working any other way. The ergonomics and customization make this one of the better investments for anyone spending long days in front of a computer. You will not be disappointed. 5 |

I am using the Kengsinton Expert Mouse every day. I am a contractor developing training materials in Powerpoint, and the trackball makes the movement of my cursor across my two monitors 'wicked fast!'. Plus, I used the free software to program two of the 4 buttons to open my photo-editing application and my web-browser. Now I can search for an image and edit it with just a few button clicks. It really has saved me a lot of time in the short period I've owned it! 5 |
