Explain My Computer Keyboard

My old computer had a problem that apparently no one could fix, so... I got a new one. So far my only problem is that I forgot to check the storage capacity and ended up with a smaller capacity that I had. So could not store some of my data there. Otherwise, I am very happy with my new computer without any stupid problems. I am finally getting used to the new keyboard. I had the same keyboard on my last 3 computers.

I would like to start by saying that the thank you card inside the box was a very nice touch. Bravo. All that I wanted was a keyboard where the keys themselves light up. -not the back of the keys-. The reason I wanted this is because my apartment is very poorly lit. I initially contacted best buy. I did my best to explain to them what I was looking for. It is possible that I did not explain my specifications correctly. They might of gotten stuck on my statement that I did not want one of those rainbow light up keyboards, which seem to be trending right now. During that call, I did not initially consider things like how blue LED lights can impact sleep patterns (lots of science on that. look it up). But this keyboard lets you switch back and forth between blue and red (red helps with sleep). And also purple (which is just fun!) The letters are also large. I am young but I do not have the best vision. Like I said, this keyboard is exactly what I wanted.

My office is in the basement but there are a few windows (the windows face north and are at least 20 ft away from my computer). I've had the keyboard for a few weeks and it has stayed charged mainly from the overhead lights. This keyboard has an excellent feel to it and having a separate numerical pad makes it a great replacement for the Apple keyboard that came with my iMac.

My working computer is a MacBook Pro 13 2017 4-port. I am learning video editing and needed more screen real estate.  After researching prices for quality 4k monitor prices for my laptop, this iMac was only a few hundred $ more, and you have a new computer to boot.  This machine is blazingly fast compared to my MacBook, and verified when checked with geekbench's free version, which is to be expected with a newer machine, and the screen is beautiful.  My only complaint is with Apple not making the wireless keyboard with the same size keys and spacing as a MacBook. Going back and fourth between machines, as I do in my daily workflow, I find my fingers overshoot on the smaller wireless keyboard. The new Trackpad has some of the same feel issues as well. I’m very pleased with the associates Eddie that helped me built my computer from bottoms up and explain to me clearly in layman terms what I don’t understand in computer technology. It was nice and smooth transaction ! Thank you and Kudos to Eddie!

Just get the Meteor Mic, and I will explain why this is important. I have so many mics, expensive setups, yet this unit stands on its own as the best because it is most dependable and reliable. Typically we rely on the headphone/mic jack to speak through our computer. I'm a broadcaster; my system has to work when I go live. At times, for whatever reason, the record settings and audio management gets screwed up for some reason that no one can explain. Aside from having great sound, this mic completely bypasses that whole-sometimes-annoying default system. This mic has its own pathway through your audio system that does not use your computer's audio jacks. This baby bypasses all of that and always--I mean always works flawlessly. Period.

I love my screaming fast new computer. I just wish you had little info - somewhere - to explain how to set up a dual monitor system. After research I figured out that I needed to use the Display Port. I don't mind buying the cable, but being a home user with no experience - it took awhile to figure out what that funny looking port was for ! Its fantastic that its there and now my system is functioning beautifully with two monitors, but maybe add that to the quick setup information.
