Extend Wifi With Netgear Router

the netgear Nighthawk AC1900 WiFi Cable Modem Router that replaced our 9 yr old router works great super fast.

The WIFI is much better than the WIFI was on my NetGear router. I very much recommend this router. The WIFI reach in my house is much improved over the expensive NetGear router I had.

I bought this router to extend my wifi to the entire house. I already have a RT2600 and the coverage was weak in distant parts of the house (for convenience the RT2600 is in one corner of the house). Adding this mesh router was very easy using the Synology Router Manger. Just had to open SRM and follow the steps on my screen.

I have a large first generation Google Wifi network at home. With several 1st gen Google Wifi hooked up to the main router via Ethernet, and two 1st gen Google Wifi operating in wireless mesh-mode. I used this (2nd gen) Google Nest Wifi Router and Point to extend my network, by hard-wiring the router to extend my existing network, and running the Point as a mesh extension. Works well together with my existing network and allows me to roam around the house with my devices.

This was a quick setup to extend the wifi from my TP-Link AX3000 wifi router. It copied over the SSID from my router and now I have strong coverage throughout the house.
