Extend Wired Network With Wireless Router

Synology makes setting up this mesh router fairly simple. Power it on next to your router, use the DS router app and you're up and running in about 15 minutes. I have four of them and they are all wired. So make sure you follow the instructions and connect it wirelessly to the router first, then take it where you want on the network and plug it in. The ability to add a dozen of the MR2200's to my router means that I can create a reliable and fast wireless network that rivals my wired network in terms of square footage and then go beyond the building. My wireless devices automatically drop and connect as I move around. I could not be happier with this device because it is reliable and the range meets all my needs. I have no complaints from my network users.

Speeds on the network seem fantastic after dumping my cable provider router! Both wireless and wired!

I use this to extend my wireless network it does the job inside the living room and outside on the deck.

I have a large first generation Google Wifi network at home. With several 1st gen Google Wifi hooked up to the main router via Ethernet, and two 1st gen Google Wifi operating in wireless mesh-mode. I used this (2nd gen) Google Nest Wifi Router and Point to extend my network, by hard-wiring the router to extend my existing network, and running the Point as a mesh extension. Works well together with my existing network and allows me to roam around the house with my devices.

We are very happy with this mesh system. We used it to extend our network from an ASUS ROG router. The AiMesh seamlessly transitions clients as we leave one WiFi zone and enter another. I would highly receommend this system.

Easy to set up and even easier to use. In my set up one router is wired to the cable modem in our downstairs living room and the meshed router is in upstairs bedroom. I have not had a dead spot or experienced any slow performance on the internal network of the home. In the process of getting a new fiber 2G downstream/upstream based Internet service to really test the speed as 300Mbps speed is super outdated and does not show off the full capabilities of the WiFi setup. This product offers tons of user management and access management. Built in VPN service, live network usage, quick network opitimazion, and way too many other features to mention here, but the best part is the easy to use app if you don't want to log in to the network with the IP address. If you are looking to improve an out dated home Wi-Fi set up look no further.

The COVID19 work from home put more wired PCs on my network router. This was used to expand the number of available ports. Works great.

I am using this as a wired AP. I have the Synology RT2600ac as the main router and the two work seamlessly in a mesh network. I love it! My house is large and I am able to cover all the rooms with this setup.

I used this with a wired router and desktop switch for my home network for a high speed connection. Works flawlessly. .
