I bought this hub for use with the Microsoft Surface Pro which has only one USB 3.0 port. This product allows me to us an external DVD/CD for loading software, etc. in addition to allowing me to use an extrnal mouse and thumb drive while typing papers and doing Powerpoint presentations for school. It was very hard to find a CD/DVD external burner for my MacBook 12 laptop. It tried several but all needed extra external power even though I used the Apple adapter. The Apple USB SuperDrive works just great. Problem solved. 5 |
