External Computer Component Keyboard

Since I always use an external keyboard and mouse with my computer, I have long-wanted to get my laptop screen at eye level. With this laptop stand, my wait is over. Designed with DJs in mind (I guess they put mixers under their computers at gigs), this stand turned my shelf into a stand-up desk. Sure you can do it yourself, but this is inexpensive enough to make that unnecessary.

Obviously an essential component to the yamaha keyboard. Bundled, it made perfect sense as it was the best bang for the buck. My 13 y/o can collapse this and put it away so it is not constantly out in her room. Definitely a necessity

Every new electronic gadget, cell phone, tablet, computer component has a cord, so these are my go to straps for keeping everything manageable.

This does NOT sound like a computer speaker, but rather like a home audio component. It actually has good, solid bass, not the boomy sound normally associated with this sort of speaker. I actually bought Bose as well as Sonos. Returned the Bose. I wish that it had a multiband tone control rather than just bass and treble. I started out with a Sonos 3 AND a Sonos 5. The difference was so stark that I kept the 5 and returned the 3. Now I find myself wondering what a pair of 3's and a Sonos subwoofer would be like! Hmmmm...

This camera works very well, and has to be the easiest component I've ever installed-basically, there's no installation at all, you just plug it into the computer's USB jack and it magically knows when it needs to turn on. I would give six stars just for that.

This is the second Zagg Case/Keyboard I have owned. It’s the only keyboard that I have found that allows me to type as I would on a full sized computer keyboard.

This IOGEAR GCS110-4 4-Port KVMP switch is my first purcahse of this type of gear...should have bought one years ago. I had checked out one of the other brands, but the manufacturer's web-site had the same photo and description for two models, very confusing. I am using this switch with three computer, Win7, Win8.1 and a Linux rig. I keep the fourth port open for testing other computers, no need to connect one being tested to a separate keyboard and mouse setup. This switch allows me to easily switch between computers via keyboard shortcuts. I have a Logitech Keyboard and Mouse which share a single wireless USB dongle, plugging the dongle into the keyboard USB port of the monitor area of the switch allows me to use the keyboard and mouse on all computers. I did have to uninstall the Logitech software which allowed for custom keyboard layout (volume up/down, next track, etc.) as it seemed to conflict with the way the KVMP switch emulated Keyboard and Mouse Control...not an issue for me in this case. I am not a hard-core gamer, thus do not have a mouse with 92 buttons on it..more of a FPS and Flight Sim guy here. I like the fact that I can switch the keyboard/mouse, Vidoe and USB separately from the audio, that is I can have music playing on one computer, switch the Keyboard/Mouse, Video, and USB to another computer and still hear the music from the first computer. I have all my external drives and printers connected directly to the Win7 computer working as a server for all my data. I have a USB hub connected to the KVMP input which is accessed by whichever computer I am using for such things as my web-cam, joystick, multimedia card reader, and ID CAC Card Reader. I started taking IT classes and now I can easily do remote access, learned how to access Windows Shared Folders from the Linux box...and more, having the computers side by side with one control system is a Godsend. I would recommend this switch to anyone considering such a purchase.

When using MacBook with external monitor this is a terrific keyboard. Love it!
