External Hard Disk Auto Backup

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital.

This is my favorite external disk now!

I cannot speak to disk speed because I use it only for external backup in a drive sled. I have 3 external mirrors which I keep offline except when mirroring. This is due to having lost 2 external backups within 4 days of each other so now I have 3 and stagger when they are online.

I have been using these drives in my external disk arrays with RAID1 software driven backup. They are awesome for media servers and over the years I have had only 1WD drive failure. I went to WD after having 4 Seagate drives fail in a row. BH always provides great pricing.

Use as auto backup to hard drive. It does the job, no complaints or comments (Hard to get excited about such a simple product). ...

I like this as a backup disk that I can carry in my purse.

This 1TB Western Digital portable hard disk drive was obtained for the purpose of providing system-wide data backup for an Apple iMac. It served the purpose perfectly. After after a very quick delivery of the product it was simply a matter of plugging it into the iMac (with the included USB cable). The OS X software immediately recognized the device and, after asking if it was appropriate, configured and started the backup software to use it. It was plug 'n play in action.

Wow, I love this hard drive. It is soooooo much faster than a regular old external drive with a spinning disk. I will be able to use this with my base model M1 Mac Mini. I can't wait!

This external hard drive works really nice and quiet, and it saves lots of disk space on my laptop. The price for it is also reasonable.

This external hard disk drive stores a ton and is light and portable. Great for video on the go editing.
