I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital. 5 |

I use it for my Mac. I had to work at it to get FileVault to work with it on El Capitan - you need to reformat (no problem) and then partition, for which you need to go to the command line Disk Utility now. Not hard, just that Apple seems to want to dumb down the graphical Disk Utility. If you don't care about that, it works straight out of the box. 5 |

This one is perfect for Mac users, and very fast. You have to partition the disk and one works for time machine and the other half for your files to save space on your Mac. (I am not a window user so I wouldn't know how it works on a different system) Thank you B&H you are great. Fast, delivers and great support. 5 |

Using the Mac Disk Utility, I was able to easily create both a Mac and a Windows partition to back-up raw footage and other video files. I always trust Western Digital and this product will probably not let me down either. It's sleek, quiet, and extremely fast with the USB 3.0. Would definitely recommend to anyone! 5 |
