The main reason I bought this hub was to be able to charge/sync USB devices and use my USB external hard drives. I can verify it has worked well for these purposes on my late 2016 MacBook Pro. 5 |

The xcellon hub has been my answer to getting more USB ports from my macbook. I can now attach my external hard drive, wacom tablet, and charge my phone with my macbook. I really like that it has an independent power supply for things like my external hard drives. And it's small and fits inside my laptop bag. 5 |

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital. 5 |

Bought the mini hub to connect some new hard disk drives. It works as it should. I wish the cable were a bit longer; as it is, it just hangs off the back of the computer and I wonder if it's putting more stress than necessary on the computer USB connection. OTOH, I haven't found a solution to the number of cables on the computer desk, so having such a short addition probably isn't a bad idea. And one plus is that it's bus-powered, so it doesn't need a power cable. All-in-all, very convenient! 5 |

Years of photography were stored on 6 different external hard drives. With this Xcellon hub... I can find any of my old photos just by pushing a button to select any of those drives without needing to disconnect . Should have bought this years ago. 5 |
