I use this adapter to connect an external hard drive to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Tablets only have mini usb ports. To use an external or any other device that uses a usb port, you'll need this adaptor. I also recommend getting an adapter that has a mini USB port on the adapter so you can keep your tablet charging while you use it with the USB device. 5 |

I recently purchased a laptop with2 USB-A port and one USB-C port. My external hard drive has a USB Micro-USB 3.2 port so this cable allows me to attach my drive to the laptop at the USB-C port Otherwise, I would need to use both USB-A ports and be SOL for attaching my mouse dongle. 5 |

Western Digital has always made good products. I've never had a problem with any of their USB external hard drives. I store and edit video from this hard drive and it works great. Very slender hard drive but durable. The cost is reasonable for what you get. 5 |

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital. 5 |
