I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital. 5 |

It is much smaller than the desktop or tall version of external hard drive and it take up less space on my desk which is great. No plug in cable required. It come with only one cable for it to connect to my Mac computer. 5 |

The 4 TB elements external desktop hard drive by Western Digital was an excellent choice for me to back up my new 3 TB iMac 5K retina computer. Over the years, after using many different hard drive brands, I settled on western digital exclusively. I've never had a problem with any of their hard drives,which cannot be said for Seagate or some of the other hard drive manufacturers. And it was a great price as well. 5 |

I have several of the 2TB Barracuda 3.5 Internal Desktop Hard Drive by Seagate. I used them with as backup repositiries utilizing a NewerTech Voyager SATA drive dock. it is a Multi-Interface Dock that i can use with any size drive. Instead of having one big external backup unit, or several individual external drives - I use the voyager and back up each of the four drives in my macPro. I also use these drives internally when needed. 5 |
