External Hard Drive For Ps4 Games

I bought this to use as an external hard drive for my PS4. I plugged it into the system directly, formatted it and downloaded games to it immediately! Works great and I’m very pleased with this purchase! Told my friends to get one from here for themselves!

Really happy with the storage size for the price (I got it on sale, so even more of a bargain). This is now I believe my 4th WD brand external hard drive, and I think the 3rd I've bought from the My Passport line. Never had any issues with any of the My Passports, and so far this new one is holding up just as well as my now 5ish year old ones. The only downside, which has nothing to do with the hard drive itself or the company... I bought this for my PS5, and found out after the fact that externals can only be used to store PS4 games. I had purposely gone for 5TB assuming I would need massive amounts of storage for extremely large PS5 games. It's okay though, I'm sure I'm still going to rinse through storage space with PS4 games anyway-- it's never a bad idea to buy the larger storage size. Just pointing it out in case anyone else had the same idea I had.

I really consider upgrading your default hard drive from your PS4, this SSD runs games like Cold War, GTA and Red Dead Redemption 2 quickly without getting too hot.

I used this to upgrade a PS4 hard drive, and it did not give any problems.

Im using this as an external drive for my PS4. It comes up as 1.84TB. Other than that, its fine.

We currently have 4 games on the external hard drive and 3 on our Xbox and still plenty of room for more. The hard drive itself is durable, compact, and lightweight super smooth to the touch. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Seagate external hard drive is amazing! I grabbed the 8TB and it's a beast! The read and write speeds are as advertised at 250mbs. This external hard drive can read and while, while being used and playing games. This is my current steam library all on this external drive. I can play games on this device even when downloading. It handles all my tasks! it's also used for my emulators with this incredible reads and write. I my previous device WD black external would freeze all the time, when moving on to the HDD or playing a game while downloading causing the game to crash. If you are a gamer and plan to play games & download at the same time or use this machine as emulation station, this external HDD is for you! I actually hope they come with 18tb or 20tb model cause I would buy again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love to play Xbox but I have always had a problem with the amount of storage the games need to play them. This 3TB gives me more than enough room to download all my games and more. Some of my games are almost 100gb and without the extra external storage it would take up almost hard drive. Hooking the external hard drive up was very easy and just needed to be plugged in directly to the Xbox. The Xbox will recognize it and will be ready to move downloads and store them as needed. The hardrive may look small but 3TB is a very large amount of space! This external hard drive is great quality and I'm pleased how easy set up was with it.
