External Hard Drive Very Slow Transfer Rate

Hello, I bought a 14TB external drive, the drive arrived on time, but encountered two issues, 1. The drive is extremely noisy, like a burst of shots every time I write about it, 2. The transfer rate really changes, and sometimes drops to 7 mb / s and does not maintain a high transfer rate And uniform, should the product be returned or can they be remotely inspected and repaired? Simple to use and very quick to transfer pictures and files from old external hard drive.

Transfer speeds are a little slow but it's a good drive.

This external hard drive are that I was looking for, very faster data transfer, very well build... I bought it to storage pictures on vacations. I had to formatted it before use, don't care the software that come with..I delate everything it work perfect with my macbook pro. Purchased this to transfer photos from another WD 4TB external hard drive as a backup.

This external hard drive is great for storage. It is a little slow when working off of it using Lightroom/Photoshop on my Macintosh, but I'm ok with that.

I've been using LaCie drives for about 25 years. These drives have always been very reliable. This drive is no exception. I recently replaced my 2013 MacPro with a new Mac Studio. When I replace my machines I also replace my external hard drives. Externals don't last forever. I feel that after 5+ years it's better to be safe than sorry. I bought this drive to use to hold my main data. Data transfer was reasonably quick. Editing photos stored on this drive I have not felt data transfer is slow or unreliable. Overall I highly recommend this LaCie external hard drive.

I have used several of this model external hard drive. They have all lasted over 5 years. Transfer rates are at most 100 MB/s. usually about 50% less given it uses USB 3.0 and a slow hard drive (~5400 rpm). Great for back up.

High capacity external hard drive. Quick transfer of data + very quiet. Excellent rubber padding makes it a bit more bulky, but so much more secure, especially when traveling. Would certainly recommend to a friend.

It worked for what I needed. Booting my old MAC as an external hard drive and connecting to my new MAC to transfer GIGs of data was a breeze with this cable.
