I've been using these Western Digital USB 3 external hard drives for many years now. I've only ever had one fail out of a dozen or so, but that's why I always have two backups of everything. I now edit on an internal SSD, and then transfer two copies of the files to these drives. I've used the 4, 8, and 12 gig versions. Note that I previously used the GRaid drives to edit on. I also had one of them fail out of 5, and since they are Raid 0 (the fastest), you lose everything when they fail. I think out of 20 years of editing, I've only every had those 2 drives fail. 5 |

I added this adapter card to my 4 y/o HP desktop to gain USB 3.0 capability. I found it easy to install and also purchased with it and installed a StarTech 4 Pin Molex to SATA Power Cable Adapter (6) from B+H, although not necessary to run my two USB 3.0 external hard drives. But for $ why not get the power cable in the event you need to power a device that needs the extra juice? I have not tested any actual transfer speeds; however, I do notice a much, much faster transfer rate when I back up the data on my computer's C: drive to the external hard drives. I also intend to use another of the card's USB 3.0 ports to attach a USB 3.0 SDXC/CF card reader. Instructions for installation of the driver on the accompanying CD was easy. 5 |

I have several WB 4TB Passport USB External Hard drives and they are easy to use, perfect for backing up photos, music or anything else. Perfect size if you want to travel with them and in general do not take up a lot of space. The transfer speed is also good. I wanted the red one to separate its use from others I have and it's a nice red. 5 |

I have been purchasing WD external hard drives for over 6 years now, and they have been great so far. It is lightweight and a bit smaller than the previous WD external hard drive for Mac. Instead of having two cables, for USB and USB-C, there is only one cable and it has a USB to USB-C adapter. This saves space from having an extra cable. Captured in the photos attached. 5 |

The LaCie 1TB Rugged USB 3.1 external hard drives are affordable and very reliable. I own and use quite a few of them and have never had a problem with them. While they aren't as fast as a solid state drive (SSD), they are handy for backing up data and/or transferring data from one computer to another. 5 |

Always trust SanDisk’s quality I became more trustworthy when using SD cards, external hard drives, and USB. Many other companies had inconsistent read and write speeds and had a lot of hype, but SanDisk products were still reliable. It was my first time using this product and it was very good 5 |
