I bought this because I had an old IDE hard drive laying around for years that I needed to clean the data out of. Here is something to keep in mind... if you are connecting an old IDE drive up, be sure that the jumpers are set properly (if applicable). For some odd reason, one of my jumpers was in the wrong position, so I thought the adapter wasn't working at first. Once I noticed the jumper and fixed it, everything worked fine. 5 |
